Do you use hand sanitizers or only soap and water?

I kind of get grossed out by those hand sanitizers on everyone's desk. I hear that they're very good at killing bacteria and keeping the hands clean but I keep attributing them to cream or vaseline that people use for rashes and stuff. It feels much more natural to wash with soap and water, if only to keep my hands from getting dry and also washing my face to feel refreshed.

So what about the rest of you?

Just soap and water for me as well and I also fin hand sanitizer pumps n' such on people's desk to be a little creepy.

I use both.

I don't use hand sanitizers. I use soap, and very small amounts. It's not necessary to be obessive about killing bacteria.

Generally I use soap and water. Occasionally I'll use hand sanitizer, I prefer the Wipes though.

Hand sanitizers make your hand feel sticky and make your fingers taste bitter when you're eating finger food. savetehhaloz

haha I was just having this conversation last night. I think hand sanitizer is alright to carry around when there is no soap and water around you but I hate how people stopped washing their hands and started using sanitizer. Plus it totally drys your hands out more than soap and water. Water shouldn't dry your hands out, alcohol should.

So, Ima go with soap and water.

Hand Sanitizer. I heard that you should wash your hands in the time it takes you to sing the happy birthday song twice. And I really don't feel like washing my hands that long.

I don't think it is because, when the swine flu was going around, my school told us to wash our hands for the lenght it took you to sing the happy birthday song twice.

i never have or never will use a hand sanitizer. and i don't always use soap ,either. :xgrape_of_wrath

Nothing beats Soap & Water for taking care of the stuff on your hands, especially since hand santiziers can't take care of dirt or anything on your hands. I only use Hand Sanitizer whenever Soap & Water isn't available.

I just find it funny how many people are so anal about using hand sanitizers now yet before the swine flu scare they never washed their hands. On topic though, I find using good ol' soap and water whenever I can is the best way to keep clean.Setsa

I don't like using sanitizer. I feel that if I use it, all the crap is still on my hands. With soap and water, I at least feel like it has gone down the drainyentlequible

I only really use sanitizers when I'm sick, so not often:P
