So far no movie IMO in the las 10 years has been good enough to take anyone to the theater or even myself. Nothing seems to have theater quality anymore. Especially for the inflated prices.

I watch most my movies at a theatre.

I don't watch many movies though so ones I actually watch are at the theatres.

I average seeing one or two movies a year in the theater. For me the theater isn't just about seeing a movie, it's a whole experience in and of itself.

Depends on the movie. I don't mind going to see a movie I might like, especially with friends.

And theres been plenty of movies that were worth seeing the past 10 years... you just sound cheap TC.:?

I like going to the theaters because it can be fun experience. I don't buy or even watch that many movies at home (not that I go the the theater that often either).

Also the theater near me is good about having a no talking or texting policy, so never have issues with being annoyed.

I'll usually buy a used copy of the DVD for around $5. Of watch it on Netflix streaming. We haven't been to the theater in a long time - just aren't any new movies that interest us that much. And we used to go to the theater because it was a pleasant experience, a fun evening out. Now they expect you to watch a ton of commercials first, then put up with cell phone users the whole time - f*** it.

Very few movies are really worth the price, but it's still a cool experience to see movies on the big screen.

Normally I can buy the DVD for the same or even less than going out and seeing the filml, so I wait.

I go about 2 or 3 times a year, and see epic movies only. This year I have seen The Avengers and will see TDK.

Maybe Prometheus.

Otherwise, its not worth it. Plus people seem to have become more annoying. When I saw Star Trek, there were this one person that laughed at literally EVERYTHING, like it was a comedy.

I've been to the movies 3 times within the past 5 years. I usually wait unless the movie REALLY intrigues me.

I never go to the movies by myself, I only see movies with friends, and only on 5 dollar Tuesdays.

Only exception was we saw Prometheus at midnight because it came out the same day we graduated high school.

I don't ever pay for or want to pay for "movie channels" on TV, but I like going to see films in theater sometimes if I'm excited about the film or want a nice date night with my wife, and I like to buy DVDs after they are $13 or less. We rent from Redbox sometimes, and we have been Netflix subscribers before (thought not this very moment). Sometimes I record films off TV on DVR to watch later to skip the commercials. So we are varied.

I buy or rent movies, I haven't been the movie theater since I was 2 and that was once. I just have no desire to go to movie theaters.

I go to the theater all the time. I love to watch movies with my friends, it's a great experience. It's fun to discuss movies after seeing them on the big screen, or laugh at terrible movies (i.e. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengence or Pirahna's 3DD). The prices are also quitre reasonable (at least, for anyone with a job), $11 (Canadian) for 2+ hours of entertainment is nothing.

It depends on what theater and what movie. A lot of them aren't worth putting up with the obnoxious pricks you encounter at the movies. Especially the people that crinkle and crackle their snacks throughout the whole goddamn movie.

I prefer going to the theatre especially for older films, but money shortages over the last couple of years have made this an increasingly rare occurrence and so I have to settle for my lovely affordable streaming services and TCM to keep me overwhelmed with choices.

I rarely go the cinema these days, it's way too expensive here in Norway. I usually wait for the movies to get on DVD before I see them. The only big minus about that is the time it takes for them to actually get on that format (DVD/BluRay).

16-20 bucks, depending on movie. If only it was more like 13-14 bucks.
If you add candy and drinks to all that, you'll get just about 2-3 DVDs for that amount of money.

I think going to the theaters can be better, can be more exciting seeing the movie on a much bigger screen, along with a large audience, and I think there are still some good movies, why just recently I went to see Madagascar 3 at the movie theaters... I liked it.

I have a standard if I want to go to the theater. It either has to be a very good movie that everyone is talking about and/or a movie that I'm very interested in and has gotten moderate to excellent reviews.

Sometimes, if a movie catches my eye and I have the time and money, I'll go ahead and watch it.

I find that, in a good theatre, the movie experience tends to be more enjoyable.
