No, I'm able to take a leak without peeing on my hands. Furthermore, my genitals are clean and STD free so it's not like I need to wash after touching them (in fact, if I were to wash after touching them I should be washing after touching any part of my body).
I actually laugh to myself whenever I see someone wash their hands after taking a leak in a public restroom, only to see them touch the door handle on the way out. It's like "what was the point of washing your hands when you were just going to do that immediately afterward?".
At home...NO -all I did was touch my 'stuff' (just as clean as any other part of me, though I guess that is not saying much) Away from home...every timeMerv_the_Perv
Your groin gives growth to more bacteria than your underarms. Think about it: it's warm, moist, and covered up most of the day.

That puts it on equal footing with the rest of my body.
I get pretty dirty digging in the woods, burning bod...errr trash, cleaning up random spots

Well, I don't dry my hands before touching the door handle and then I dry them on my pants so that takes care of the rest. Besides, why would there be bacteria on it if people JUST WASHED THEIR HANDS? It's because of people like you that there's bacteria all over the place! Shame! Besides, what's better, less bacteria or more?
If you do a number 2 and don't wash your hands that's a major lack of basic knowledge and it can cause some health problems.
Yup, always. Public and private.
At college, I've seen some people finished doing their business without washing their hands. It's really sickening. :|

You do know that not drying your hands before touching something is actually worse than not washing your hands, right? I did that as an experiment in my freshman year biology lab. Took some cultures with a swab off a person's hands in various conditions (not washing, washing and not drying, washing and drying, washing but not using soap) and it turned out that washing and not drying had you wind up with more germs than before you washed. This was just from touching the faucet mind you, not even touching a restroom door handle.
Although actually restroom sink faucet handles are the dirtest parts of a restroom. Think about it. The door handle gets touched by everyone, but some of those people (according to this thread, the vast majority of them lolyeahright) have washed their hands. The faucet handles, on the other hand, are only touched by people with dirty hands.
So just keep all of that in mind next time you wash your hands only to touch the sink faucet with your bare hands.
In reality, washing your hands is more of just a "feel good" habit than something that does any actual good, especially when you consider that most people are unaware of how to properly wash their hands. There are cases where it does do good (such as if you're a surgeon or if you get fecal matter on your hands) of course, but just washing your hands after taking a piss when you're perfectly healthy is mostly a waste of time and if you're like most people you probably only made your hands more germ ridden than they already were.

Well first of all most of the time you don't need to touch the handles since they are automatic, but washing the hands is not only for germs, it's for not being sick too and just getting your hands cleaned up and remove the oils... Who cares about the extra germs they are not dangerous. I keep my hands wet before touching the door handle to kill viruses, not germs.
