I always hear people say that when they get older they would lose interest in cartoons is that true with everyone? I am 19 and I watch cartoons everyday and my fiance who is 20 also watches cartoons everyday. We prefer the older cartoons and they are:

The Smurf's

The jetson's

The Flinstone's

Popeye

Scooby Doo

Tom and Jerry

Looney Tunes

And etc. Although, I do like some newer cartoons and they are:

The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack

Chowder

Johnny Test

Johnny Bravo

Recess

The American Dragon

The Replacements

Brandy and Mr. Whiskers

Spongebob Squarepants

Phineas and Ferb

And etc. I prefer older cartoons to the newer ones because they just seem to be funnier and there alot of ****cs.So do you still watch cartoons? and if so,which cartoons do you like or which are your favorite?

I probably watch cartoons more than live-action stuff, and I'm 24. Looney Tunes and Animaniacs remain my all-time favorites.

Yeah, currently 18. I don't see a difference when watching them as a minor (17). One of the more recent shows I like are Avatar: TLA, Flapjack, Chowder, Naruto, Courage the Cowardly dog, Fairly Oddparents, and the old Spongebob's. Shows I used to watch that don't go on air anymore are Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Dexter's Labatory, Hey Arnold, Invader Zim, and a few others. :)

Well there's different genre for different age group. There are more sophisticated anime series out there aim at the more mature audience. And no I'm not talking about that stuff either.

Nope I'm 17 and have moved on. I occasionally watch family/south park/simpsons but I would classify that as different to Spongebob Squarepants

I'm glad to see that so many people still watch cartoons and I, personally plan on watching cartoons the rest of my life. I occasionally watch some anime on cartoon network but that's the only station I can ever find anime on. I would probably watch more anime if I could find some that I can actually get into but, I would probably have to buy it on DVD.

Unfortunately, TV is so bad nowadays that these are never on. I would, however, rent some of those on Netflix or stream it online somewhere just to relive my childhood. Animaniacs and Looney Toons were awesome. Recess was a classic. Anything on Cartoon Network in the late 90s and early 00's were a classic. Nickelodeon had the best shows (Rocko's Modern Life, and, I'll admit it, Rugrats)

Absolutely agreed. I don't watch cartoons these days not because I don't want to, I do, but because there AREN'T many cartoons these days. Spongebob/Fairly Oddparents and Wolverine & the X-Men are alright, but beyond that, everything is trash. I tolerated it when cartoons were buried under Japanese influence, but these days it seems like there aren't even that many cartoons at all, just a bunch of terrible live action shows like iCarly.

If you haven't heard already, they are putting live action BS like iCarly and all that stuff. There was a reason why children flocked to Cartoon Network when Nickelodeon didn't show cartoons past 9PM. After 9PM is when the fun began on Cartoon Network. I tolerated it when cartoons were buried under Japanese influence, but these days it seems like there aren't even that many cartoons at all, just a bunch of terrible live action shows like iCarly.

Yeah, I still watch cartoons. just not the same ones I watched as a kid (unless it has Marvin the Martian and/or Buggs Bunny or Daffy Duck. duck season, wabbit season never gets old).

come to think of it, a lot of the cartoons I liked as a kid are long gone. The Angry Beaver's (who can argue with an innuendo like that?), Rocko's Modern Life, Johnny Bravo, Ed Edd and Eddy . . . I've seen what kids sit down on the couch for on Saturday morning these days. it's explains a whole lot.

Yea, 22 and I still do. Think about it, they make cartoons especially for adults. I mainly watch anime, stuff on adult swim, south park, and classics that are on you tube now. In truth I don't know a single person that has to watch cartoons at age 14 that has ever stopped. My boss not only still watches them he introduces me to new stuff.
