Yeah, see...in theory I think it's in good taste to acknowledge the people who made the movie. But realistically, I'm not going to remember 99% of those names anyway.
I could watch the credits and see that Joel Josephson was the lead gaffer. If I then walked out and some dude IMMEDIATELY said to me, "hi, my name is Joel Josephson", I'd be like, "who the hell are you, and why are you talking to me?"
So yeah...if I had a chance in hell of even remembering more than 0.25% of the credits, then I'd probably stay and watch the credits. But if I can't even retain that information for the brief amount of time that it takes me to walk to my car, then why bother?
