No, I stopped wearing my helmet about 3 years ago. One time, when I did wear it, I was biking through the trails behind my house and the park patrol gave me a coupon to McDonald's for being safe.socked_feet
Yeah, getting a coupon for mcdonalds would put me off ever wearing a helmet again as well.
I don't often wear a helmet, I stick to the pavement when I can.
Wow I'm surprised how little people wear helmets. Once I was riding without one and I passed a woman with a baby stroller and she said to me, "where's your helmet?" and I looked back at her.brandontwb
it's only worth wearing a helmet if you're mountain biking or doin tricks, other wise it just makes your head itch and obscures your hearing
Nah, never wear helmets. Then again I'm Dutch, literally everyone bikes here (There are more bikes then people here in the Netherlands and it's the normal way to get around towns/cities) and except for maybe some professional racers noone wears helmets.
In case you wonder what it's like, here is a pretty amusing page of an American tourist about bike culture in Amsterdam (but it's like that, although on a bit smaller scale, for pretty much any city here.http://www.ski-epic.com/amsterdam_bicycles/

Yeah, you have to take into account that our roads are build around it. There are bike lanes everywhere, specific traffic lights for bikes, etc. Also, because there are so many people biking, drivers also take it much more into account.

people here are much to busy: going into pointless wars, eating heart attacks on bread, tyring to fit into small cars at the last second, talking on there cell phones with there blinker on going 35 mph in a 60 zone.
EDIT: sorry got a little off topic. I do wear my helmet if I'm going for a long ride.
I always wear my helmet, on a bike, riding on my roller skates or even when Im on the short bus going to school
