With survivors spread out across the continents?
The idea seems exciting to me.

[QUOTE="Feryraiser"]Too quick and painless :P I'd like to see some chaos before the silent calm and the rebuilding of society :)I never really wish for that, thats creepy. Its either total explosion or nothing.

Oh ok i can make a scenario for that.
So basically for some odd reason the sun has become a focused beam, and is slowly ripping the ozone apart, that beam is slowly moving around the entire planet, and very slowly incenerating everything in its path, but the inceneration takes an hour to completely decimate a city. The only people who survive are water dwellers. Hows that?
like a zombie apocalypse? NEWMAHAYNot exactly, but that wouldn't be so bad either I guess :P My current favorite end of world situation is a global blackout. Without electricity and the devices that run on it, I would expect most of society to go to sh!t before things get better. Without cameras, criminals and would-be criminals would be able to satisfy their lawless desires without the fear of being caught.

No, I got that. it just sounds fairly easy to avoid. Assuming the beam were infinite and fuel sources were finite though, everyone would eventually die.[QUOTE="Feryraiser"]

this is what i was trying to say, thanks for finding the words for me :POf course it's exciting to think about. Do I ever wish it would happen? Absolutely not.

Hell no, then there would be no new developments (sports, entertainment, tech, science, etc.) and what if the survivors were spread out and never find eachother, you would go crazy from being alone.
It's part of surviving. The unfortunate die alone and the fortunate repopulate the Earth.Hell no, then there would be no new developments (sports, entertainment, tech, science, etc.) and what if the survivors were spread out and never find eachother, you would go crazy from being alone.

No, I think the adventure appeal would immediately be overcome by the actual hardship and loss in quality of life. Seriously, we have it better than any other time in human history and most of the Earth today, why would you want the world to end?
