Does a simple Hello cheer you up?

For some reason I feel a lot better when someone that I may not know says hello to me during the day. It puts me in a good mood lol. And no I'm not a loner, just wondering.

Everyday in the Econ class I just finished there would be a guy that says "[good] Mornin' " It got annoying. :x

I don't hear "Hello" much.

it can, even better if its from a girl then i get excited instead of just happy.

yes, especially if it includes a smile or eye contact.

I guess it depends on my state of mind. If I'm feeling outcasted, then yes. But if I'm having a good time then a simple hello begs the question, "...yeah?"

From a stranger you say? Probably not unless there is something intriguing about that person.

I little I guess. Good weather cheers me up much easier.

Depends on who it's from. I always appreciate it when someone greets me though.

I understand there are cultural differences, i.e. in a lot of west european countries you dont say hi to strangers (specifically France)

Hell, it can even be regional. Where I live, people are totally friendly; Ill walk down the street, say hi to people that look at me, give a cig to a bum (well, not anymore, I quit).

But back where my folks live and I grew up people generally keep to themselves.
