Does anyone even watch television anymore?

I remember the days where we all used to watch TV all the time. Now that we have internet, No one watches it anymore. Not even me. I bet in the future, there are gonna be commercials like you see on Televison but on the internet. Well there are ads everywhere but I'm saying whenever you go on to a website, they'd show you a minute long commercial. I personally like the internet more though. More to do than TV. You can play games, look at funny videos on You Tube and watch pr0n whenever your bored. What do you all think of the internet and television nowadays? Do you think TV will become obsolete in the future?

I still watch a few selected shows but not as much as I used to.

I only watch TV when I don't feel motivated enough to really do anything else...

Or I just watch it while falling asleep since now I can't sleep with complete silence.

I much prefer the internet or just doing something else.

I tend to watch TV shows I want to watch on the internet, though I do watch TV before I go to sleep.

I don't go on youtube much.

I'm watching TV less and less. The only shows I mainly watch are King of the Hill, The Mighty Boosh and Reno 911. There is hardly anything decent on anymore.

I'm almost never home when the shows I watch are on... so I just record them and watch them later.

I still like to watch TV especially now that I have satellite stations.

I can't watch TV over here. It infuriates me to no end. Also makes me really sad. I unplugged the cable.

I actually canceled my cable about six months ago, and haven't missed it. It puts $80 more in my pocket every month, or $960 a year.

It just didn't seem like it was worth the money for a service that's very overpriced for what it is and really not all that great, and frankly, there isn't much on TV that's worth watching to begin with.

I now use a combination of OTA HD, Hulu, netflix, and some not so legal means to obtain the shows I watch, all of which are free (or very cheap in the case of Netflix). If anything, I prefer it this way because I can watch shows with no commercials, or minimal commercials, and watch several episodes or entire seasons all at once.

I still watch a lot of tv. Currently though all the shows I follow don't have new episodes until fall/winter season. Waiting for new episodes kills me. I watch a lot of sports on tv as well.

I might watch something from On Demand from time-to-time, or watch the History channel when I'm eating or something, but as for actually watching TV, I haven't really since the mid-90's. Reality shows and stupid crime dramas killed it for me.

Hulu is a pretty amazing service too. I'd say it's as good or better in many respects than basic cable.

I stream it to my TV using my Xbox 360 and a program called PlayOn.

Google something called openDNS and you should be able to use Hulu outside of the US.

I think that the vast majority of TV is stupid. I do know quite a few people who don't have cable.

TV has been crap for pretty much a decade now in my opinion, and I have a feeling the internet is getting a little less relevant every day.

Back in the day you could watch a movie and there would be 5 minutes of commercials, enough time to go to the bathroom and get a drink, or get some crisps.

Now it's commercials every 5-10 minutes and you can't even enjoy the damn movie anymore.

Not to mention the poor quality of most of nowdays shows.

I rarely watch TV... It just doens't keep my interest anymore. Most of the programs are for really young audiances or stupid dramas that need better writers.

I read, and go on the internet. I use the TV to play video games.ZookGuy
