Ummm yes, Because I live in England :| ... To be honest most of our rap is crap in my opinion. There is a few decent artists Professor Green, Plan B, Tinie Tempah etc.

That guy was really good. The best part was that he's actually very educated. What he said about MTV is so true. >_>

I don't think I heard any other than that link the TC posted but it might be because of me but there were some words I couldn't even understand but I think that is just his accent. And it felt like there were a little slip ups when he was off beat. But great message nonetheless.

Yes(Again because I'm British). Most of UK Rap is just rubbish, but there are a few gems, like in the USA. In the UK, Example is probably my favourite(Although he is pretty new)

The USA has a huge population, because of this the proportion of 'gems' may be roughly the same but because the population is so much bigger it may appear that there is a greater number.

i think it has more to do with the US being the birthplace of hip hop. i'm sorry, the proportion is not even close. 95% of hip hop comes out of the states and the same goes for great MCs...

I'm talking about good rap. Lots of people can rap, but not a lot of people can be really good and excel at it.

So I am assuming you understand multiple languages and have heard rap from all over the world. Rap/Hiphop may have originated in the US but that doesn't mean that it is confined there.

don't get me wrong, i'm sure there is plenty of great lyricists from other countries and continents but the majority and the best of the best are from the US. you'd be foolish the argue otherwise.

Lowkey is from the UK and he is the best MC making music right now, far better than anything coming out of the US. The US started Rap but they're slowly destroying it, Lupe Fiasco is doing his part in keeping it going though. There are a couple of others also, but right now Lowkey is the best rapper.

See this for proof.

I wish German rap wouldn't be so popular in Germany. ~_~ Out of 50 successful German rappers there is maybe one who actually makes good music. Personally, I just listen to the rap of a few American nu metal bands.

The only time when I like rap, is when it goes very deep. Has a lot of meaning. But then you wouldn't be able to understand what they're saying since it's not english, so... yeah.

In my experience European rap is usually a lot more like other music than pure rap or hiphop. Which isn't bad don't get me wrong, I actually prefer that to all the gangsta and 'oh I'm such a victim and angry and aggressive and you should all fear me now' or the rather boring 'I can't sing so I'll talk my way through this' rap.

Though from what I heard French rap comes the closest to American rap, and even though their language doesn't lend itself for rap at all (imo) they are maybe the best at it.
