Not really... most of it just sounds the same to me, but I really haven't heard too much Ska.

I do enjoy Streetlight Manifesto every now and then though.

Hell yeah, Streelight Manifesto is one of my favorite bands. But it's really the only ska band with any real musical merit, imo.

But I do enjoy Five Iron Frenzy, RBF, and some Supertones.

I listen to Streetlight Manifesto, they are one of my favorite bands and IMO on of the best bands around now, but I don't listen to any other ska bands.

I saw both of them when they came to Atlanta. I had never listened to either before. I thought Streetlight was alright, I enjoyed Reel Big Fish though.

I also like The Supervillains, I think they are ska.

Why does no one ever mention Sublime in the Ska threads? I know they aren't a fantastic example of the genre, but I think they're pretty good.

thats a good question. it may be because the mainstream stuff theyve got isnt as upbeat as some other ska bands, ive only listened too a couple of their songs so i may be completely off.

I love Sublime, I think they're great, but for some reason I don't consider them ska.

Well, they were pretty diverse musically, but they have a lot of songs that lean heavily towards Ska.

Definitely. I listen to Two-tone, ska-punk, and traditional ska. It's probably my favorite style of music. I'm not really a fan of RBF or Streetlight. They have songs that I like, but there aren't many. I mostly listen to Operation Ivy, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Toasters, Sublime, and a bit of Tokyo Ska Paradise.

Usually can't stand the stuff, but I recently revisited my old Mad Caddies records... So good. Their cover of ABBA's S.O.S. is badass.

Pirate said it best in another thread.

Ska is glorified circus music.

So no, I do not listen to it. Just like I don't listen to death metal, black metal, gurgling ****.
