Jesus Christ, seriously, there is no way in hell he is going to win. McCain has constantly supported Bush and the American public knows it (and we all know what the public thinks of Bush). It would defy history. Historically, when a president supports a previous general failure, then that candidate (in this case McCain) will lose. I honestly don't also see how people vote for McCain when he has implied that Obama is a sexual predator and has supported Bush 90% of the time. If anything, I think his television advertisements hurt him more than help him

Well he has the the people who always vote republican automatically, then he has most of the people who are devout catholics and those who want to honour him for being a war hero. All those votes don't even include people who actually agree with his platform or who disagree with Obama's. There is still a very good chance he will win this election.

I will tell you after the vp debate to see if McCain can win lol.

Anyway, 1 month in politic is a long time and lot of things can change. People were thinking it would be impossible for Bush to get another 4 years, but he did...

well it's definitely not impossible because anything is possible in politics....Dukakis was looking good back in the late 80's until he uttered one simple statement "I promise to raise taxes"...it all went down hil from there...so anything can happen and probably will. That's what's so great, and at the same time sad about politics....Howard Dean's fist pumping escapade is another example when he was going for the Democrat nomination in 04

This election should be an automatic win for Obama, but McCain is (inexplicably) hanging in there in polls. Hopefully, people will grow tired of his wild and desperate stunts. Everything McCain has done has been for winning the Election, NOT for the good country. He knows it too.

Did you miss the part where the Democrats blew the last 2 elections?

McCain is far from out of it.

Why, because you don't want a president that will actually do something about the economic crisis? Everyone here supporting McCain I wouldn't be suprised to find out they initially supported Bush.

that's because most of the people in here are young...I remember when I was a bleeding heart liberal when I was young(er)... I remember the days I was a strong supporter of a strong Welfare system, and i thought it was what the country needed. Of course you grow up and research things more effectively, and views change.

Yeah. Obama's plan is to actually teach children to know when they're being sexually harassed and know when they're not. McCain is desperately trying to do anything to get up in the polls.

And its ironic how they bombed on Obama for no experience; Palin was a governor for 2 years of an Alaskan city.

As said in Saturday Night Live on her experience with foreign policy: At least she can see Russia from her house.

i definitely agree. As a speaker I like Sarah Palin (mostly due to attraction)...but she was probably the worst choice he could have made. Of course in a way it was smart because Obama was starting to run away with the media, and it was truly becoming a one man race in the eyes of the media....to me the smart choice in terms of shaking things up in the media, while at the same time making sure there was experience with the VP, it would have been this man....

Its a lose-lose situation for america. What we need is bi-partisanship, and to have a limit on how long a congressmen can serve.

True, that wasn't the best idea. Honestly, I do agree with a few of McCain's plans. I think it actually might be better to stay in Iraq a bit longer. But, I just can't get past that he is a near clone of Bush.

Agree that Obama wants to teach children about sex? Agree that Obama is nothing more than a celebrity? Agree that picking someone completely unqualified to even think about leading the country was something more than a political stunt? Agree that getting up on a pedestal and saying "Look at me! I'm doing something extremely selfless by going to D.C and suspending my campaign" was for love of country and not for media and poll points?

Some people may actually agree with McCain more, but his recent actions have been nothing more than scare tactics and gambles to try to get the uneducated voter.

Or maybe they agree with him on the economy, Iraq, maybe something happens between now and then that makes McCain more appealing, to say picking McCain reflects badly on the voters when we haven't even been through the whole campaign is a bit immature.

I honestly think both of these clowns are only puppets to further the agendas of some of the wealthiest corporations and lobby groups in existence. Several times during this debate I could only laugh at the unbelievable crap both said, but McCain by far took the cake. I asked myself "How can Americans buy this sh*t?". Maybe I just see through the ruse but I think either way this country goes for this election, it's only gonna be bad news. I do think it will be more tolerable under Obama as much as I hate to say it, corporations need to be contained and reduced and a good tax hike for the ultra rich I will definitely agree with.

Both sucked, but Obomber was better tonight and easily bested McCrazy IMO.

Yay I love Troll Threads!, Seriously whoever thinks He can't win is dumb, and ignorant. Seriously All McCain has to do it turn 1 state, colorado or Minnesota and the election is his.. Not to hard to do considering. Plus a bloc of Obama supporters, (Students) Won't show up on voting day like they always do. So there is a chance McCain can win. I say it's pretty much 50-50 right now.

You make it sound like Obama supporting outright explicit sex education like use of condoms to kidnergartners. The plan is merely to educate what is "good touchy" and "bad touchy"

A Troll thread is a thread where someone is obviously just trying to spark a fight, and with completely rediculous claims, it's obvious The TC doesn't want to engade in any serious discusion, thus why I called it a Troll thread.

Troll thread = A thread where someone is criticizing the candidate I like.

Or maybe it's just how unfounded the claim that McCain Cannot win is.

A Troll thread is a thread where someone is obviously just trying to spark a fight, and with completely rediculous claims, it's obvious The TC doesn't want to engade in any serious discusion, thus why I called it a Troll thread.

Then leave? The only troll here is you. Being a troll is intentionally attacking someone's personal character.

[QUOTE="Dasacant"][QUOTE="MicWazowski"]Really? perhaps they would simply agree nmore with Mccain :Owindsofwang

You make it sound like Obama supporting outright explicit sex education like use of condoms to kidnergartners. The plan is merely to educate what is "good touchy" and "bad touchy"

Umm I think you messed up that quote.. anyway I never even commented on that.

True, that wasn't the best idea. Honestly, I do agree with a few of McCain's plans. I think it actually might be better to stay in Iraq a bit longer. But, I just can't get past that he is a near clone of Bush.

ferrari2001

lol, wut? No he's not have you even remotely researched his policies?

I would say that voting in line with Bush MORE THAN 90% of the time would rank him as a pretty damn close clone to emporer Bush. McPalin won't be much of a shift in policy I suspect, and you can see the damage Bush has already left in his wake.

No that's simply what it sounded like by the way you worded your threads. You didn't even try to spark discussion it was a rant. You started off with Jesus Christ who seriously believes McCain can win etc etc..

It would have been fine if you had said in my opinion McCain's presidential race is over because.. List reasons.. Then say Do you agree or disagree. This is a more appropriate way to start a topic like this, not to blatently Rant about why you hate McCain.
