I personally hate reading. I think it is boring and pointless, which therefore makes it a waste of time. My dad makes me read which I'm mad about because I think it is wrong to force someone to do something that is unnecessary that they don't want to do and because no one else I know will sit down and read a book but him. As a matter of fact, I was wondering if anyone actually reads anymore which is why I'm asking this question:does anyoneone here like to read? Don't think I'm ignorant because I don't, I just don't enjoy it.

It keeps your brain fresh and also gives you more words to work with. I'm not a fan of reading books but I read a couple a year just because it's good and it builds your vocabulary.

Yea, books always have a deeper, more descript story than say a movie or game. Also, you're reading right now.

I love to read.I think your dad is right for making you read, but see if you can come up with a compromise. Go to the bookstore and let him buy you books that you think you will enjoy.

Never liked reading until a few years back. I'm currently reading the sword of truth series and loving every one of them. I also think it is wrong to force you to do anything you dont want to do, maybe when your older you might find a book that starts you off, that's what happened to me.

I like reading! Whether it's books or on the internet, as long as it grabs my attention, I prolly wont stop until I'm finished with the book/webstory. I can try to say that I'm notbiased in choosing subjects to read, but truth be told I find myself always picking out books/sites that can be taken as conspiracy propaganda, and rightfully so. Drama - suspense - thriller, whatever it falls under is beyond me, but that's my liking.
