Does Facebook greatly annoy you?

It does me, with no post that really has any kind of substance, but instead just ego-boosters for everyone trying to one-up each other, and "sincere" posts about something that has gone on to try to appear "deep." What are your thoughts?

I don't use it. It's for attention whores.

Nope. I just use it to stay in touch with folks that live very far away from me and just post the movies and random odd bits of things that interest me a few times a day. If it ever started to annoy or bore me I would merely stop going to it as I have many other sites.

if it bothers you there is an option of closing the account. which is what i did. i tired of facebook and closed my account months ago.

I don't use it, but it annoys me how many people waste their lives on it.

I hate the concept of social networking like Facebook, everybody that knows you wants to be your friend and I don't want to share everything with everyone I know. It gets worse when family members want to be your friend. That's when you really can't say stuff like "I am too drunk to masturbate".

I only have 50 FB friends (95% of which are family, distant family, and friends), which is not a lot considering that some idiots have over a thousand "friends". I rarely ever post anything. The only reason I still use it is for the webcamming service which I use regularly with my sister who lives a thousand miles away.

No and I see no reason why it should. All I can think when I see people make these stupid threads about Facebook is that they must be using it wrong. Facebook is great for me and I don't have any of the issues these other people are always having.

Just hide their timelines and you won't see it anymore.

Yes I hate it. I couldn't agree more. It separates us more as people instead of bringing us together. I closed my acc a few days ago for this very reason. It is polluted by soulless garbage. I used to post intense sincere things, but in recent times I found myself TRYING to do that... which ruined it. It's depressing. The last thing we needed is another thing that perpetuates dishonesty and bullshit.

No, because the only people on my FB are close family, friends, distant relatives, and some online friends I met through games. I don't let everyone and their uncle on my friends list and it doesnt take much for me to block you completley if you act like a moron in my news feed.
