I was in football practice today on Defensive day and i was doing everything right then i get to play DE for only 2 plays, the first play i was the only one to get to the QB and the second play i put the RT on his ass and get to the QB then he changed me and put someone else so i had to watch, i was pretty much the only one that barely played while everyone else was there for like the whole practice

im usually a center on offensive days

Did he say anything to you when he took you out? Maybe he could see that you were doing pretty good, and wanted a less skilled player to get some practice. A possibility.

Well if the situation is exactly as you say it is.....Coaches can be hard to understand sometimes, sometimes you just can't really understand them until your in their shoes. Sure, theres the possibility that hes an **** But another possibility would be to keep you from getting too big a head, keep you from thinking your the biggest badass ever thus increasing the chances of you losing the motivation to work harder. I'm sure you could understand that. I'm not saying thats exactly what it is, but that's, in my opinion, of the much more possible options.

To elaborate further on my previous post: Having too much confidence in yourself can sometimes give you the thinking that you don't need to work because your already good enough. But needled24-7 has a good point as well.

As was said earlier, could be the coach just wanted a look at all his players and had seen enough from you. If he's dedicated to winning I don't think he'll let personal feelings stand in the way of choosing his best team.

Where you working with the team? Sometimes being awesome by yourself isn't what they want.
