Does the term "tool" irritate you?

It really irritates me, I don't know why. Maybe because people often use it in an attempt to claim some type of superiority (usually intellectual) when in reality most of them aren't superior.

If it's used against me, maybe.

Actually it does irritate me, there's something about that word that makes it worse-sounding than it really is. And people even react to it that way.

It rarely annoys me, especially when used online.

Not nearly as much as tools do...

Considering the musical brilliance employed by a certain band with that name, it does bother me that it's used so lightly. It's sort of like taking God's name in vain.
