Does this bother anyone else?

ok, well I'm straightedge and my girlfriend drinks, which is fine with me. Yet the biggest thing no matter how many times we argue about it, is just like; she's in Boston for college, and I'm in CT. Like I always wonder if somethign happens and everyone is hiding it from me. and if people are up on her. It bothers me all the time, and I hate it. I wish she was straightedge like me, but like I'm fine when I'm with her. I don't know if I'm over reacting, but like we've argued over it tons of times, and she doesn't see where I'm coming from.

Anyone else have this sort of problem or any kind of advice?

You got it for 2 reasons:

1. You have a complete lack of sensitivity to the situation.

2. Your grammar and lack of spelling makes me laugh.

if you want to live a sober life, thats fine. But do not criticize her for wanting to enjoy alcohol and mild recreational drugs. If she does coke, heroin, or meth...then she needs help. But if she drinks, smokes pot, does the occasional hit of acid or munch some shrooms, let her.

As for your theory of her cheating, well, thats the bad part of long distance relationships. You need to ask yourself, not us, whether or not you trust her. What is her moral character like? Can you recall conversations in the past where she might have seemed open minded about another guy, etc?

In short, is there any precedent for you to stop trusting her?

We talk all the time, and she always wants my attention and affection, and I trust her I do, but since I've been cheated on plenty of times in the past, there is that one small thought in the back of my head that won't go away. She drinks, but not that much at all. Only once in awhile at parties. It's fine with me, I'm not one to push anything onto her. I jsut always tell her to be careful. but like one time she was at a party and some dude tried to kiss her, her friend pushed him off, but she won't or will any of her friends that were there tell me who it was. It's someone I've met already but she won't tell me, and that bothers me right there and which makes me think like this

well she sounds like a good person, and also it sounds like she is surrounded by good people who know you as well, or at least know she is in a relationship.

As for your doubts, I dont blame you, but dont think of them as any more than that. You start to take your doubts a bit seriously, accusations starting coming, then you get no where except unhappy and perhaps broken up over nothing but your imagination.

Thanks, She called me at 8:30 in the morning and told me she missed me(she was sober lol) I feel alot better, and thanks for the advice. We have gotten into a couple big fights over this, so I try to not let it bother me, it's bothering me less and less everytime.. Thanks for the advice :D
