Does this make sense to anyone? I still can not figure it out.

Back in high school, I got into a quarrel with another guy. This guy said if I started a phsyical fight with him, he would have like four of his friends jump me. Easily realizing I would not be able to take on five guys at once, I walked away from the fight. After that incident, he called me weak in more vulgar terms. Since when has it been tough to fight someone 5 v 1? How am I weak to walk away from an easy loss and pointless battle? I always thought it was more tough to fight your own battles. Thoughts? Similar experiences?

There are racially motivated jokes here (Australia) about a certain group of people who will start a fight with you only to exclaim "I'll call my cousins." One of them is "How do you win a fight against a *insert race here*? Take away his phone."

They are cowards.

Well, I don't blame him for using his resources if he wants to win a fight. That's always a sure way to win a fight, but calling you weak? Individually, you may be, but not much more than him if he has to require on backup. People are always stronger in groups.Genetic_Code

You're not weak for walking away from impossible odds. You're weak for not getting, like, a DOZEN of your homies to whoop that fool and his entire crew.

He's not saying you're weak as in "you are physically weak". He is saying that you are weak in the sense of "you lack the ability to muster up a force sufficient to defeat me and my posse".

I was at work and he was threatening me over texts. I ended it by the end of my shift. Avistann

In my personal experience, if its you against X amount of other people, as soon as you lay the first guy out none of the other people ever do anything.

It was the same ole story all through school. Tough guy with friends intimidates other person, other person beats his ass, friends stand there and watch in shock.
