At least someone agrees with me. One of my friends believe that Panic! At The Disco was better then the Beatles. So I kicked him in the groin and made him listent to I Am The Walrus. Now he is the biggest Beatles fan I know and is getting to start liking Queen.

im a ska kid through and through. the have some of the best lyrics and most upbeat songs i can think of. and to me that is true poetry. but wow. i always have to sit back and go damn. i love that song. its true there arent many bands like that anymore. jethro tull is probly my favorite classic rock band. but that song there is true poetry

That's not true at all. There is so much great stuff coming out right now, you just have to know where to look for it. Stop being close minded.

Do you realize how pretentious you sound when saying "I don't listen to anything after X year"? You're missing out on amazing music. If you think there aren't any good song writers around today than you might want to turn off your radio or T.V. and look for something in the underground. And no, before you jump on me, I'm not talking about metal. I'm talking about any non-corporate mtv crap. You can find original and talented artist in any genre, you just need to look past the mainstreem.

i was just about to say something similar just not nearly as elaborate. just that there's more music out ther than what's on mtv, and that someone once said "there's no such thing as bad genres, just bad artists". just gotta dig deeper buddy
