does urinating on a cat count as pet abuse?

I was spending a night at a friends house, wasnt suppose to be there, only bathroom was downstairs, his mom sleeps down there so couldnt use it.....so...window....yeah...and I didnt know his cat sleeps in the garden below...I feel bad.
