Does your area have all four seasons? I live in Minnesota and even though we technically have all four seasons, it feels like there's nine months of winter and three months of summer.:? Ugh...I hate cold weather. Anyway, does your area have all four seasons?

I would think Alberta would be even colder than Minnesota as it's closer to the Arctic Circle. That's just me, though. I've never been to Canada.

Okay, I dunno if any from BC live in Vancouver, or the area, but I don't think it has winter... It's basically rain and it never gets too cold.

I wish winters were always like that. I'd rather be in 90 degree weather for nine months than be below 32 degrees for nine months.:P I hate cold weather!:x

It's ironic because I was born in North Dakota and I've lived in Minnesota for most of my life. You would think I would be used to it. Also, I'm 3/4 Scandinavian and Scandinavia is a cold region. So, I have lived in cold areas all of my life with ancestors from cold areas and yet I hate cold weather...strange.

We have pleasant springs, hot humid summers, crisp falls and cool winters. This is East Tennessee, BTW. Winters for the past decade have been nothing to speak of, but through the 80's and early 90's we'd get two or three good snows (6-16") each year. Since 1995 I haven't seen any snowfall here beyond a light dusting that's gone as soon as the sun rises.

Sort of. We have four seasons, but winter and summer both span about a week or two, and spring and fall fill in the remaining period of time. Also, we have absolutely no transition whatsoever; we'll wake up one day in July and it'll be suddenly 90 degrees out, when the day before it was 50 and raining. That's how we know our week of summer has arrived. Then after a week of very hot weather, it'll cloud back over and start raining again, and fall will have begun.

I'm currently in the top end of Australia. Here they only have 2 seasons. Wet & dry. During your northern summer (now) it is the dry and during your winter it is the wet. It basically stays the same temperature all year round 32-35 degrees celcius (which I think is about 90 something F) but during the wet the humidity keeps the temp up at night and makes it very sticky. During the dry the temp at night will drop about 13 degrees C and its nowhere near as unbearably sticky. It does get kind of broken up a bit more (the Build Up to the wet, the last rains bringing Knock 'Em Down storms) but effectively those are the only distinguishable seasons as such.

Yeah, living in Fargo feels like it's winter 75% of the time and really hot 25% of the time. There are four distinct seasons, but winter is by far the longest, with summer being the second longest and spring and fall barely surfacing.

Texas (at least Dallas), has about 7 months of summer, 2 weeks of autumn, a couple days of winter and the rest is spring. So I guess there are four seasons (nice hotel by the way).

The past 2 years Jersey has just kind of ignored Spring altogether, it stays at 40-50 degrees until the middle of may.

British Columbia certainly has all four seasons, which makes for a beautiful province.metallica_fan42
*high five* Yeah I'm inland BC, in a desert area, our seasons are all over the place, but we have all four. 3 years ago we had such a harsh winter the snot froze solid in my nose waiting for the bus, and this summer you can't even go outside without wanting to puke from the heat. Spring is generally mild, not too rainy, but has a chill even if it's sunny. Fall is cool and 'crisp' as it's described, warm enough to be comfortable but cool enough that it's not summery feeling.. at least in the daytime. at night it's cold as hell. we've had rain and no snow on christmas before, and snow on halloween night. This year the snow didn't melt til march.

Ugh...this summer has been ridiculous. Hot June, PERFECT July (well maybe that week where it was in teh 100's could have been toned down) but now it's August and raining and overcast!

WTF!?

Yeah it's not usually like that--I was out riding my bike in full leather gear and jeans though during that week. Now THAT was bad

Our Springs are beautiful though
