Where i'm from almosteveryone says it(not just black)and this can't be the only place so it doesn't surprise me.

An here is his response.

I am deeply disappointed in myself for speaking out of anger to my son and using such a hateful term in a private phone conversation. It was completely taken out of context. I was disappointed in his choice of a friend, not due to her race, but her character. However, I should have never used that term. I have the utmost respect and aloha for black people, who have already suffered so much due to racial discrimination and acts of hatred. I did not mean to add yet another slap in the face to an entire race of people who have brought so many gifts to the world. I am ashamed of myself and I pledge to do whatever I can to repair this damage I have caused."

Its funny how he talks ABOUT the enquirer before he starts saying it. You can tell they must have asked him a question with the word in it and tried thier hardest to get him to say it. Witchsight

And I am from Hawaii. The streets have gotten cleaner, but there are still drug dealers, pimps and murderers on the streets. Hopefully, they'll get cleaned out too. I have met him at an autograph signing at Borders once for his book "You Can Run, But You Can't Hide" He was friendly and talked story for about 20 seconds. He's kinda short in real life. I'm actually 5'9 and I was about a little inch taller than him. The DOG will always be a hero down here in the Aloha Ste. NO ICE INPARADISE!!!
