you serious? its legal tender, im getting change to buy something from the store...... wow.B0Knows
Use the change you already have to buy what you need at the store, then go to a bank to exchange your large amounts of quarters for dollar bills. That way, you won't have to piss off other people and you wont have to be a prick Better yet, roll your own damn quarters and give them to a bank teller, so it will be easier for THEM to help you. I've dealt with many people like you, always thinking people owe you something because you shop in their store or use their service. Get over yourself, and treat people with common respect. You are no better than that poor girl you harassed.
you serious? its legal tender, im getting change to buy something from the store...... wow.B0Knows
That was pretty harsh man? i mean was it absolutely necessary to insult her and degrade her so much? fair enough she wasn't being helpful about your situation/demand. But was there any need to be so rude? its people like you who give a bad name to customers and shoppers around the globe.
Also you do know banks can change pennies into bills right? why didn't you go to the bank instead of causing yourself and that clerk so much hassle?
Wow, you are a [explative]ing [explative]bag.
How would you feel if i came up to your tip jar at micky d's (im guessing thats where you got the quarters from, judging on your hate for the people around you.) and asked to give you 800 pennies for your 8 dollars in guarters. You would be pissed and probably throw a freshly made double cheese burger at me.
Thats just a guess, but judging on the level of intelegence and respect you have shown, probably not that far from the truth.
Most retail stores won't change bills for coin, it makes it a hassle for them and it isn't there job.
I'm shocked the manager did anythign for you, if you showed up to the store i work at and talked like that you'd be out before you knew it. Snotty kids like you are te ones who make working in retail hell. If yu expect service from someone there is no need to act the way you did.
Yup you're a prick like the person above says. If they don't want to do it, it's their choice. DEAL WITH IT. TacticalElefant
I gotta agree, I work in retail and if someone pulled that on me I'd be like **** that you're not getting **** now.
So I'm in krogers, trying to exchange a bag of quaters for bills at the front desk. Now I know the Coin star machine is broken, so I continue up there, leaving it in the bag.
"I need to exchange these for bills". - Me
" I can't do that, use the coinstar." - Her
"That charges money to do that, here I'll count them in front of you." - Me
"No you cannot do that, you use the coinstar or i don't help you." - Her
"Thats, BS, you relize this is legal tender I have every right to exhange this. It's like $8 worth, christ." - Me
"No, I will not do that for you. Use the coinstar." - Her
"Okay so your going to pay for the coinstar fee, right?" - Me
"No, I won't take your money." - Her
"Fine get your general manger now, you have to be the most retarted [expletive], I have yet to meet at Krogers in my entire life. So please go ahead and call him so I can show him how pathetic you are." - Me
[she calls him to the front desk]
"Are you aware you front desk lady, will not accept my change in exhange for bills?. First off, I understand there's a time issue, but it's $8 in quarters, I have already counted them out for you."
"Okay." - Him
"Do you not think it's pathetic that this lady is going to be a complete [expletive] about using a coinstar machine? I mean seriously, this is legal tender [expletive]her."
"Alright." - Him
And the whole time she is staring at me, while I degrade her for being a complete [expletive], and [expletive]. Also the manger started yelling at her, while I was leaving.
So I end up getting bills to play lotto tickets yesterday, won over $89 spent around $8 in singles. [Cool]
CLIFFS: [expletive]at Krogers won't take $8 in Quaters for bills, says use coinstar. I start yelling and degrading her. She gets general/coperate manger, I continue call her pathetic and [expletive] idiot in front of him. He agrees, takes her to the back of the store, and yells at her for being lazy and retarded.
[Oh and Also I stopped by in today, to get some coffee, and she started me down, so I casually dropped it on the floor, and left.]
LESSON: Don't be a lazy prick if the person is willing to count it and spend their own time, take consideration into having some respect your getting paid to work anyways.B0Knows
You do realize that the fact that you counted it dopesn';t mean anything, right? You can tell her that it's $8, but is she supposed to trust you? She STILL has to count it herself, otherwise she's gonna get in trouble (potentially fired) because you on;y put $6.75 in the bag.
If anything, this is an example why no one should work for these chain stores. In most of these places, employees are PROHIBITED from opening the cash register without making a sale, and are REQUIRED to personally count all money. Someone then comes along and gets mad because she won't open the cash register without a sale. Manager then yells at employee for doing company procedure, and degrades employee just to save his own ass from having to deal with angry customers.
Bottom line, when you take that kind of job, you're a ****ing scapegoat. That's it. It's the EXACT same way at my job. I manage two departments at my grocery store. The company that I work for is not willing to pay money. More specifically, they are not willing to pay money for CRITICAL expenses.
For example, recently there was water dripping fro the ventilation unit in our walk-in freezer. This water would then freeze onto the floor, and within a couple of days form a 3 inch thick sheet of ice. I'd then have to spend 3 freaking hours twice a week just to move product into and out of the freezer. And the whole time I was telling my boss that he needed to get someone in there to fix that ****. He wouldn't authorize such an expense, because that would cost money. And then his bosses would be on HIS ass for authorizing those kinds of expenditures. So in the meantime, I end up spending TWO ****ING MONTHS having to break up ice. This takes up approximately 17% of my work week, which means I get behind on other things. Here's the thing about that though...if my boss's boss ever gets on him about his department looking like crap, he points the finger at me and gives me **** about it. I've gotten ****ing shocked doing electrical work because they won't hire an electrician, they've recently cut half of my help and expect me to get more done with a 50% loss of labour, and they can't even afford to pay me. Yes, that's right. They can't afford to pay me for working. After getting promoted and transferred, I got a pay raise. It took a month for this pay raise to actually go into effect. Which means that for an entire month, I was geting paid ****. Six monthsa later, and they owe me quite a bit of money in backpay, and I still haven't ****ing gotten it yet, and probably never will.
These kinds of places are ALL like that. And it's bull **** to yell at your employees in front of customers. No decent ****ing manager would EVER do that. That's not ****ing professional, because that makes customers uncomfortable and they don't want to see that ****. The ONLY manager who would ever do that is a piss poor chicken-**** coward of a manager who's too much of a sissy to do his job. If you've gotta fire someone or reprimand them, you act like a ****ing professional in front of your customers, and then fire or reprimand the person in private.
But that's why you don't take these kinds of ****ing jobs. B
on a sort of unrelated note.
cashiers hate when people put their cash and coins on the counter, hand them the goddam money.
don't count the money for the cashier either
if you and a friend are paying together, don't ask if you can buy half of whatever it is your buying. Registers don't work that way. You get 1 total and can figure out how to split the bill later.
have your damn money ready
don't go through your list of items and name them, while you are blabbering on, the cashier is trying to make notes of the items he sees on the counter in his head
Good story. I always put money on the counter. I always pay with wads of change. I pull out my money when I'm good and ready. It's part of their job, they can do it.GodLovesDead
thank you, finally someone who expects min wage employees to be smart enough to count and to actually have a positive enough attitude about their job to be helpful.
lol i wish you tried that at the arena i worked at. id laugh in your face. when my manager came, she'd do the same.
Did you know if she was actually allowed to do that or not? Some stores have regulations regarding things such as changing coins. You shouldn't just have assumed you were in the right.foxhound_fox
yeah stores hav ethier policies and if the customer makes a big deal the manager will just do that to make you happy if you cause a scene like that. its rather rude to attack her for that...ive had people get upset wih me for following store policy and ive had batteries thrown at me. It really is ridiculous how customers can act like big babies..
