Getting busted for that is a horrible feeling... I don't think I ever did. I peeled the tape back on the present just enough to see the box, which didnt always work because they would wrap things in old boxes that were not the same as the gift. (lol)

My family is dysfunctional and we often don't all get together and some friends/family and I call a truce on gift giving. (Dont get me one, dont get you one type of thing)

I don't decorate for the holiday n'stuff at my apartment for some years now, unless I am in the mood or something.

Every day is Christmas. Giving and Getting in other ways. Thats the way I sorta think of it.

I don't mind the decoration, and my family is often gathering at christmas. However I rarely give presents to my friends since I know I won't getting anything back. Also they have made it very clear that they don't want any gifts since they can't be bothered to buy one to give back.

I see the clothing first, in case I don't like it. And I liked the hoody so much I got it early :) Then there's my video games and iPod touch which I have to wait for >_>Zaeryn

Sounds like a nice blend of getting early and waiting excitement. I've had some years like that.
