Don't you hate it when people use their phones whilst driving?

Seriously, it's unacceptable. The amount of people who do this need locking up. It frustrates me how they can hold up the traffic, like the whatsapp gap, texting at a green light, holding phone whilst driving.

I have witnessed this several times recently at night time. People need to wake up and smell the coffee that it's 100% dangerous driving.

They even get away with this! Beeping works, but when will these idiots learn their lesson? I strongly believe these speed cameras need to catch these lunatics.

Do you agree?

I agree, 100%. They are putting themselves and those around them in danger.

Not sure what kinda answer you're expecting except "yes". I use voice commands in my car, and hook up my phone via bluetooth. In Canada you get a hefty initial fine (which can increase) as well as demerit points/licence suspension. Still, the amount of drivers I see who shouldn't have a licence in general is shockingly high.

I'm always looking in the rear view mirror to see if the driver behind me is paying attention, so that I can get out of the way if they're distracted. I would prefer people not be on their phones whilst driving. There has been a time or two where I needed to get a quick text off to a co-worker while at a red light, but I have my friend tell me when it goes green so that I'm not holding up the line.

Yes, I hate it.

Maybe it's because I spent the first 20 years of my life without a cell phone, but I just don't understand why people can't just drive without their phone for 10-30 minutes. I mean it's one thing to check the map or change a song or maybe (maybe!) check your texts while at a red light, but to actively talk and text while driving is just idiotic and occurs way too often.

The Doordash drivers are the worst, too. I don't know how that company works but they really need to issue those folks some sort of dedicated navigation hardware they can mount to their car or integrate into their car's navigation system (or something) because those folks are crazy on the road.

I find people’s general use of cell phones very annoying. Seeing some folks walking on sidewalks, in stores, at sporting events, concerts, movie theatres, at the dinner table, etc. with their face stuck on their phone is just so ridiculous.

Last year a fucker rear-ended me and the moments leading up to it I saw him through my rear-view mirror and he was not even looking up at the road and was looking down at his phone upon impact.

At least I had him and his insurance company pay for it, but it's such a headache because that still set me back for that month of having to go back and forth with the insurance company's and leaving my car in the shop.
