Dont you hate it when you run out of music to listen to?

Dont you hate it when you have 17,000+ songs on your computer, but you dont know what to listen to? Like, your getting bored of your own music, cause you just heard it all before. So I need some new stuff.

So, Since I dont know what to listen to, suggest something to me. I have a very diverse music taste. So, although my favorite genre is rock/alternative/grunge, list any artist that you like. Wether it be rap, hip hop, R&B, country, blues, reggae, heavy metal, death metal, or even classical, just list anything, I like it all. Except anything Christian, thats the only genre I dont really like.

If you know any good rock/alternative/grunge bands, I want those most of all, so tell them to me. Odds are I've probably heard of anything you'll list though, but list them anyways for the small chance I dont already have them.

List some of your favorite bands, and some of their best songs. For anything that you list, also tell what genre it falls under. You can also tell me why they are your favorite, so I know why I should bother listening to them, other then the fact that I'm bored. That would also promote some discussion, which would be nice.

Or you can just list bands off the top of your head, whatever. Its all good.

3 Inches of Blood is pretty good modern heavy metal band that is a little less known.

Deadly Sinners is a good song. Get it off itunes if you can :)

If you dont like that kind of heavy metal maybe you'd like Nightwish instead. Kind of a more smoother type of metal
by this Finnish band. This lead singer is a chick. They're probably a little bit like Evanescence.

Senses Fail has been the only band I have listened to for the last 2 years.

Every song memorized, and I have the lyrics on my iPod for all 59 songs.

Never happens to me, I have a laundry list of recommendations and artists I've heard of that I'd like to check out.

I recommend just some of my favorite artists; Charles Mingus, Tom Waits, John Zorn, Estradasphere, Amiina, Brian Eno, Rachel's, Regina Spektor, Pure Reason Revolution, Thelonious Monk, The Gathering, Porcupine Tree, Bill Evans, Love, King Crimson, Do Make Say Think, PJ Harvey, Fiona Apple, Sleater-Kinney, Emily Loizeau, Camille, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Johann Johannsson, Keren Ann, Blonde Redhead, Gordian Knot, Cynic, Pain of Salvation, Riverside, Bon Iver, Black Mountain.... /list that extends to China.

When this happens to me, I often find it's a lot of fun to turn on a DJ set or Girl Talk album and pick out songs I especially like and try to identify them. Then I find out all about that artist, etc, etc. Give it a try.

I guarantee you would hate most of my music but I will throw one or two out I guess. Try Breathe Carolina and maybe Finch. Those are probably the only band I could maybe get you to like, other then that most of my music is considered "trash" by others.Avistann

Well you can either listen to the genre emo or bands that are really whinny. There is a big difference. Wikipedia is your frined.
