Ill answer this one, its because if it werent for dracula Edward Cullen more then likely wouldnt even exist.
Ask this question in ten years and find out. Christopher Lee's Dracula is still remembered 40 years after it debuted, will Edward Cullen do that?

Simple. After the death of Bela Lugosi, Lee was the face of vampire films for a good 20 years.
