The DBZ story lines were great. The epic battles and hard decisions to make made it amazing, it was also kinda sad when goku would die, or earth would get blown up. The characters were also amazing. To see gohan start out as a peasky little kid to a great warrior, to see vegata hate goku so mutch but channel his anger and become friends, seeing goku have to kill his brother, seeing goku's dad die to make sure goku has a good life. All that stuff is pretty deap man

I haven't watched Naruto, but an anime would be hard pressed to be worse than Dragon Ball Z, in my opinion. I don't get how a show can be so popular when at least 80% of the episodes were just pointless 22-minute fight scenes that went nowhere. And then there's the fact that whenever they run into an enemy that they just plain can't defeat, they either randomly pull out yet another level of Super Saiyan or pull some other new technique out of thin air.

I haven't watched Naruto, but an anime would be hard pressed to be worse than Dragon Ball Z, in my opinion. Well the super saiyan transformation was meant to be a one time deal and it does hurt the series image atleast.

Well even without the Super Saiyan business the anime still had so much filler that it was unbelievable. It wasn't so bad during the Raditz and Nappa/Vegeta portions nearer to the beginning, but the stuff after that like the Frieza arc and whatnot just got unbearably tedious. There were almost 300 episodes when all was said and done; it felt like they really could have squeezed it into at most 50, if not fewer.

50 is way too low it took 39 just for the Saiyan Saga. If you took out all the filler it may be squeezed into 100 episodes. 50 is rediculous for 26/42 volume series.
