I used to have a problem with drinking. I would drink 24/7 and done things that I am ashamed of. Well, I have started back drinking. I have kept it to about 4 beers a day. That don't even bother me. But, I am starting to drink more and more again,. I can't seem to make myself stop. I love being drunk. What should I do?
Don't go to AA man, unless you really want to completely stop drinking. Just learn some self control. Limit yourself to like one beer with dinner. That's what most beer drinking adults have.
Two years ago I did things that landed me in jail. I did these things because of my drinking and stupidity. I was sober for two years, but I started back. I can't stop. I have tried, but I ache all over when I do not drink. I am serious. There are no AA groups around me. I live in the boondocks of WV.

I have the exact opposite problem than you... I can't touch the stuff, it tastes soo horrible too me.
If you want to waste your life... you can continue on... Or you could try therapy or something. Its definetly not good be drunk everyday.
I find it unfair and mean that people say that I waste my life. You all are not so untouchable or goody-goody that you can't be addicted to anything. I have a good job, wife, and beautiful kids. I just done some stupid things as a teenager. I got addicted to drugs, and drinking. I stopped doing drugs when I met my wife, and I have never did them since.
But, drinking is so hard to quit. I feel like I will literally die if I do not have it in my system. I am not asking for anyone to feel sorry for me, but please don't put me down. I am not one of those who put it before my family. I just need help, and I know this. But, I am hiding it from my wife, and family.

IMO, you should tell your wife and tell her you need her support. I don't know her, but I know most women would take that better than you trying to handle things on your own and her finding out when things fall apart or you show up completely trashed at home some evening.
It's definately a serious problem, regardless of whether you acknowledge it as such or not. It does seem like you're ready for AA, though (which is completely free and a godsend for hundreds of thousands of people). But going is a decision you'll have to make yourself, no one can make you or tell you, you have to decide. I'll be honest, i don't have any first hand experience with alcoholism, but i've known some, and it's not pretty. get off the sauce, man. You know you should, and by posting here, i know you want the help, just do it.

Yes, I do agree with you. See I promised her I would never do it again. Like I said; I did so many stupid things in my past because I was drunk. She left me for about half a year. When we got back together, I was sober. But, slowly I started again. I am scared she will leave me agaib.
