Earthquakes have always been a part of Earths history, you're only hearing more about them now due to the paranoia of 2012.

Yes, the earth is dying. Contrary to popular belief, the Earth is actually a Christmas tree ornament, and the Great Cosmic Kitty is swatting at us ever more aggressively.
Soon we shall become unhinged from the Holy Branch of Thy Noble Douglas Fir and plummet to the ground floor of the universe, whereupon we shall shatter into many jagged pieces. We will then be swept up by theGrande Creator and dumped into His vessel, thy Holy Trashcan, where we shall become one with our Lord Oscar. Amen.
Technically Earth wasn't around at the dawn of time, but then again you could be right because without us would time exist...:oWhat natural events? Earthquakes? There are hundreds of major earthquakes every year since teh dawn of time. :|

Sarcasm, right? That movie 2012 made so much sense so I wouldn't be surprised if the events actually happened.

Just as you said earthquakes are a natural occurance. Everyday in different part of the world there are earthquakes but theyre weak some so much that they dont register. Anyways we cant even say that the amount of powerful erathquakes has increased. To do that you would have to provide information on the number and severity of these events for last lets say 20 years. With information like that we could check and see if in fact the number of earthquakes has increased. My guess is that they have not. The recent period where several strong earthquakes happend is just coincidence.
Eventually the sun will go supernova and destroy the earth. It's a lost cause anyway you look at it.

I am sorry to say that, but you are all wrong. Anyone who knows a little bit about our world's fauna is aware that Diglets and Dugtrios are the ones that cause earthquakes.

him? with that voice? I don't think soEventually the sun will go supernova and destroy the earth. It's a lost cause anyway you look at it.
sonicare
actually the sun won´t go supernova but since it will probably grow enough to consume the earth (or at least be close enough to kill all life on the earth) before it turns into a white dwarfthe earth will get destroyed or at least all life will die
Exactly, and eventually the universe itself will collapse and everything will be destroyed.Eventually the sun will go supernova and destroy the earth. It's a lost cause anyway you look at it.

How dare you mock the almighty Jigglypuff.
I don't think our sun is of the right variety to go supernovae. It will however extend to a Red Giant in a couple of billion years and engulf us, although it's heat and radiation would have long since destroyed our atomsphere and oceans. The future is looking great :pEventually the sun will go supernova and destroy the earth. It's a lost cause anyway you look at it.

The earth as we know it was formed by earthquakes. I think "dying" is the wrong term to use here.Engrish_MajorThis. the earth is simply doing whats its done forever. We on the other hand, simply have better means of communication, and we hear about things more
