I need to get to japan for a vacation, my friend gets this magical free tickets for airline sbecause he has relatives that work for the airlines, and he keeps making fun of me for not being able to go because it will cost me an extra $1500 to go

I dont have that, and he suggests I take a crappy dead end fast food job to save up and just quit, so right now I am unemployed from my IT career, and it would be a good tiem to go, but if I got a job in my career I wouldnt be able to go for like a year after that..

anyway I saw on a couple movies that people would do these things called couriers where they practically flew nationwide for free

HOW DO I GET THESE!??!!

damn tickets!!!

If you're high school/college age, try STA travel. It's a website that has discounts for student fliers. I recently bought a ticket to fly in to London from Mississippi for $525--not too bad. :)

I work for UPS I think I can get you a decent sized crate at a discount. Plus I'll even hook you up with free shipping... somehow.

Get a job working at blockbuster. Save up every time, you'd have over ten thousand dollars by the time your friend leaves.

Listen, if you would have listened to your friend in the first place, over a YEAR AGO when he told you to do this EXACT SAME THING, you could be going this year. But no, this time last year you wouldn't settle for a "crappy job". You were SO sure you'd get a "good job" and go on a paid vacation. News flash. It's that time, one year later, what in the heck have you accomplished? Nothing. The same situation is happening again.

Yet again your friend is here to tell you to get a crappy job and go in 2009. But yet again you say you want a "better" job. However, by this time NEXT YEAR you'll have NOTHING accomplished AGAIN and it will be the same scenario. You guys have repeated this battle on every single trip he's done, it'll be the same next year.

Why not take a chance, live a little, and spend a month sipping sake in Tokyo with your pal? Don't let him say "he told you so" again.
