I was talking about this the other day, which do you think out of THESE TWO is the better actor. After that comment Chris Tucker made about Eddie Murphy giving up and just moving with the times instead of being himself, and Murphy commenting that he wastes millions of dollars on useless stuff and is in debt, that made me make this thread. So who is better? Eddie Murphy notable movies: Beverly Hills Cop 13, 48hours, Dr.dolltile 1-3, Another48hours, Shrek donkey voice actor, Haunted Mansion, Pluto Nash, Life. Chis Tucker Notable movies: Rush Hour, Rush Hour 2, Rush Hour 3, Money Talks......... Fun Facts: Eddie Murphys newest movie, thousand words is considered one of the worst movies ever made and is considered lower than his other widely known failure. Chris Tucker took a long break after Rush Hour 3 but his newest movie still filming, is considered fantastic so far without it even being finished.

Agree. Tucker's got a big mouth, but Murphy too, I like Eddie in I Spy with Owen Wilson.

im gonna say chris tucker because friday puts him over on eddie Murphy imo + chris tucker hasnt been in some of the worst movies of all time. Eddie murphy is by no means awful though. His stand up stuff back in the day was amazing and some of his movies are actually classics its just now he pumps out a ton of crappy movies that are usually kid oriented.

I would have to go with Eddie Murphy because I can't really stand the sound of Chris Tucker's voice.

While I like more EM flicks, I would go with CT. Friday, Jackie Brown and 5th Element are great performances.

I haven't read the full comment on Tucker's part, but does he say the same thing about his Friday alum, Cube? He's in the same boat as EM.

Out of those, I like Eddie Murphy's sense of humor. Chris Tucker is alright, but it's more weird than funny.

I think Eddie Murphy's Trading Places, Coming to America and his 2 standups(Raw & Delirious) put him above Chris Tucker.

Minus all recent Eddie Murphy, he still beats Chris Tucker. I'd change my mind if Tucker did another Friday movie. >.>

Never really seen many stand-ups from comedians. But movie wise since Coming to America is one of my favorite movies, going to have to give it to Eddie.

I've gotta go with Eddie. He's got too many classic movies, whereas I only really love Friday and the Rush Hour movies for Tucker.

You forgot a few things in Murphy's slot:

48 HRS.

Eddie Murphy: Delerious

Beverly Hills Cop 2

Eddie Murphy Raw

Harlem Knights

and his start on SNL: Revised score: 10>5 in favor of Murphy.

I know he did another movie in the '80s called Best Defense, but it sucked in all honesty, hence it's omission.

I don't see how the two are even comparable.

Eddie Murphy has made a lot of crappy movies, but at the prime of his career (the 80's) he's a legend. Chris Tucker is not even B-list celebrity.

Chris Tucker blows. The only thing he was in that's decent is Rush Hour 1, and that's because of Jackie Chan. Eddie Murphy all the way.
