What are some good documentaries/videos relating to Irish culture and/or history? I'm really interested because of my heritage but I know little about it.

Its generally rather depressing, The Wind that shakes the barley is a very good look at the end of the english occupation and Irish civil war that followed. Cillian Murphy plays the lead. The film portrays the British in a very bad light, so be warned.

The Magdalane sisters is also a good insight to the Catholic church in Ireland, again its rather depressing but based on actual events so worth watching.
