Eid ul adha. This is the 1 where Abraham's obedience to god is commemorated. The story in a nutshell is that god tested Abraham by commanding him to sacrifice Ishmael, which Abraham was prepared to do but god intervened in the last moment and replaced his son with a ram,Muslims in turn slaughter sheep on this day,in case any1s wondering,a 3rd of the meat is kept for oneself and immediate family(spouse, children),a 3rd distributed to the poor and the other 3rd to friends and family.Hope that helps.faheem_s_iReally? I could have sworn that was Isaac

aaah yes I know this holiday. A farmer down my street always sells sheep to muslims so they can sacrifice them, his place is always a bloodbath
Anyway, sheep get slaughtered for food all the time, so no offence intended.
Have a good one Muslim friends.
Happy Eid to all of you guys. I just got home with tons of beef :DGazaAliWhen I first glanced I thought you said tons of beer....I was on my way over.:P Anyway Happy Eid.....

I'm mostly hosting relatives and friends who come to congratualte my parents. It sucks monkey balls as I have to smile and welcome them while in fact I don't like them much. @LJS you do realize that religious in a cool way=not committing enough to your religion right :P
