Musk, need I remind, told advertisers to "f*** off!" His words too.
They got no case! Just point and laugh.

My favourite quote about ole' Elmo Musko will always be one that went something along the lines of:
"When Elon Musk talked about electric cars, I knew nothing about electric cars, so when people tell me he's a genius, I believed them.
"When Elon Musk talked about rockets, I knew nothing about rockets, so when people tell me he's a genius, I believed them.
"When Elon Musk talked about software, I happened to know a lot about software, so when he said some of the dumbest things I've ever heard in my life, I concluded he was a moron.
"Now I am wary of getting on one of his electric cars and rockets."
Oh, may this incompetence streak continue and Xhitter bleeds so much money it rids the world of its malign presence and make the world a slightly better place. Still will have the likes of Farcebook, DickCock, Instafail and Trashes to go, but one cancer at a time. One can always dream.
Damn that Linda's body language was awkward as hell.
I think all she was missing was podium and a crowd of a few thousand Italian fascists. She was like a dope up relaxers Mussolini.
Well they can... just saying.
Can what? Threaten? Well of course they can threaten.
But can they actually do so and win? Or rather, can they try to, and risk losing and paying the possible counter-suit? Well yes I suppose they can try.
The question is "will they?".
@nintendoboy16: oh good lord, I forgot he did that whole "not an apology tour" to Israel. SMH, what an ass. And Netanyahu, too, for actually meeting with him.
This is great, we need people to fight for basic human rights such as the right to advertisement. Particularly now that the government tits must be drying he needs other charitable hands.
That woman and Musk comes across as huge assholes.
lol. Look at her face. She thinks this is super serious and important. xD
"We like money, and now when advertisers don't throw as much money on us anymore, we will have a bit less money. We don't like that. We are now going to sue people."
The musk situation is just sad, the dude is a visionary with Tesla and SpaceX being revolutionary.
Yet he spends his time playing culture wars and making half the people hate him.
He didn't create either. That makes it worse!

This.
Elon hasn't invented a thing in his life. And his dumb rockets don't work, burning tax payers money.
He makes soundbites, surface level stuff that sounds good if you don't think about it, or come back to at any point later.
This is honestly, the most pathetic thing seen in a while. Like, 0 self-awareness. Absolutely none.
@mrbojangles25: No... they can f off.. lol. Big money hates big money unless they are profiting off each other. Musk giving them the middle finger is fantastic and savage as hell regardless of how foolish it may have been on a business front. You have to respect the fact he wasn't going to be bought or bow to corporate demand. Love him or hate him it's a drop the mic moment and I've got my popcorn ready for more of the same.. lol.

That seems rather contradictory.
He didn't want to buy Twitter, it was his big mouth that got him into it. After losing shit tons of money he proclaimed "not about da money broz", after ads pulled out he was "who carez broz"
And look now. Freedom of speech man, upset they used freewill to do exactly what his big mouth proclaimed.
Basically, see nothing savage or cool here, people aren't even calling this shit X after all his nonsense.
What I suspect (much like Kanye West), rich, self-ego stroking surrounded with yes people (and we can see this in this tweeting habits and replies), that no one is actually verbally saying to him properly "you are a fucking idiot", which would be beneficial.

What? Isn't it fascist to think private corporations have to advertise on your medium? Musk is losing money on X. That's why he's crying.

Just another display of cognitive dissonance, sadly.
Also, I think Big Money loves Big Money. These people exist in a world apart from ours; they all go to the same meetings, gatherings, parties, golf tournaments, auctions, and so on and so forth. They aren't really competing with eachother in the traditional sense.
I'm looking forward to Musk taking back what he said, though he might find a way to weasel out of it and still get advertisers back (likely by appealing the the shittiest advertisers, i.e. far-right special interest groups, influencers, etc.).
Same.
The only reason Elon is successful is because he had Dad's Emerald Mine Money that allowed him to fail, fail, and fail until he got it right. It's the old adage of "What's the best way to make $1 million? Spend $3 million". All his old business partners hate him; he damn near ran companies into the ground until he either closed up shop and asked dad for more money, or had a business partner bail him out.
The only thing remotely inspirational about Elon is that if an antisocial twerp like him can be successful given the chance, then there could probably be thousands more like him (but without the attitude) if we were just allowed the opportunity to prosper, start a business with no strings attached, and so forth. Unfortunately that contradicts directly with how the world works and wealth distribution and opportunity. Rules for thee not for me, etc etc...
Now he is taking government funds for rockets. He is not a visionary, he just has an army of lawyers and accountants and PR folks that allow him to exploit the system.
There is a near 0 chance of him winning this lawsuit if it isn't outright thrown out like several of his other ones.
@mrbojangles25: you say he is taking government money for rockets, but of all government contractors his rockets are by far the cheapest and most reliable.
Look I don't like musk personally either, but to say that spacex has not been revolutionary to the space industry is simply being dishonest.

Lots of issues with SpaceX.
@LJS9502_basic: there are lot of issues with every company.
But there is only one company with reusable rockets, there is only one American company that is able to transport people to space, and there is only one company that can put cargo in space at such low price with such high degree of reliability.
Didn't the old Twitter have to face Congressional Republican hearings over far far far less? Combine this with Elon's weird election stuff (the site that lies about voter registration) and sharing fake AI audio.
Weird guy.
@uninspiredcup: Sure, that's all good and great, but he's so rich it really doesn't matter all that much in the grand scheme of things. The fact he says some of the things he does are funny whether or not they are true. Giving the industry the middle finger is hilarious regardless of the reason in my opinion.
@LJS9502_basic: Look, we all know why they don't want to advertise on X and it isn't because he told them to f off... it's funny either way.

Doesn't matter. That's their money and their right. Why does the far right hate freedom?
Everyone loved him just like Trump until recently... I wonder what changed.. heh
Huh?
Elon Musk has for as long as I can remember had a bad reputation in the investor community, and scientists and engineers have been highly critical of him for years as well. For his phony technology and ideas that obviously wont work. He was ripping off techbros and investors on ideas that obviously wouldnt work and people fell for it.
Trump has been the punchline of jokes since even before his 2016 campaign. There is a reason he was the president before Lisa Simpson in that episode back in the year 2000.
@uninspiredcup:
Giving the industry the middle finger is hilarious regardless of the reason in my opinion.
So I'm confused.
He gave them the middle finger and told them to go F themselves. Truly owned the industry elites.
But now he's crying that they left him, and trying to sue them in a case that will likely be laughed out of court. Like an industry elite would do.
Elon is silly at best.

Just because someone is not articulate when they speak doesn't necessarily make them a moron because his wallet says otherwise.

Money is a poor measure of merit; anyone can make money in any number of ways. One can be almost a savant at making money and an idiot about science and technology. Money therefore does not give them the licence to speak on things they know nothing about, and is certainly not a pass on criticisms when they do.
Truly smart people know their limitations, and delegate to people who actually know what they're doing.

Emerald Mine Jr. made some good business decisions in co-funding some good projects (paypal) and buying already established brands earlier in his life. He isn't really a coder or doesn't really know how to engineer, his workers make all of this stuff so there is a lot of false hype surrounding him. He still says and does a lot of stupid things. Especially once he became very far right.

This goes beyond poor articulation.
@romerofour:
Yup, pretty obvious social media fried his brain. The algorithms' narcissism feedback loop engine turned him into yet another Captain Dunning-Kruger, just one with billions to throw around like a toddler might throw his toys.
As I keep saying, social media will go down in history as one of humanity's great mistakes.
@Maroxad: There will always be people that dont like others for whatever reason, I'm talking about large scale with insanely expensive smear campaigns and truck loads of salt mixed with disdain. The hate just wasn't there.
@madrocketeer: Broke ass people critiquing billionaires is like an arm chair manager in sports yelling at the TV when a world class athlete drops a pass.
That said I have been known to do the later from time to time, but not neccessarily because I think I can do it better... lol.

Again, no one is critiquing these people for things they're knowledgable about. If you say dumb shit about things you have little knowledge of, people who know more than you about the subject has every right to correct you. And if you still insist on being wrong, then people has every right to call you an idiot. Your ability to make money in some fashion does not give you a pass on legitimate criticisms.
He'll drop his own lawsuit like a lil bitch. Part about being sued is it grants you buttloads of ground to subpeona the plaintiff and once that happens he'll be squashing his own lawsuit like oh he was just kidding.
Elon doesn't know what he's doing. I've long argued he never actually meant to buy Twitter, he just liked basking in the limelight for all the attention he got making people think he might. That was clear when he reneged on his last final offer. Given his previous stunt while Tweeting on drugs like when he said he secured financing to take Tesla private, I'm pretty sure he did the exact same thing here.
Right now Elon is most worried about multiple federal investigations from SEC and FTC and such and I'm guessing his PAC to support Trump is clearly designed to have Trump use his powers and appointments to squash all this. After all, there were predatory lenders who did the same, facing prison time, and he had that squashed. One guy was the one who put up the $175M bond.
@madrocketeer: Broke ass people critiquing billionaires is like an arm chair manager in sports yelling at the TV when a world class athlete drops a pass.
Billionaires are above criticism? This is quite the take, being wrong is being wrong regardless of how much money you make. Billionaire Worship is some of the most toxic and frankly weird stuff in US.
@romerofour: What? That's not even close man. I just find it humorous. I never said anything about anyone being above criticism. Criticism is constructive, calling someone stupid or a failure is just being a jealous, petty, fool.. especially when that person has an IQ on par with some of the greatest scientific minds of all time including Einstein, Tesla, and Hawking... yeah he's a real moron. Give me a break. Worship? No.. lol. Just giving credit where it's due.. the dude might dance to the sound of his own drum but let's not get carried away.
I do agree that you shouldn't speak on things you have little to no knowledge on, but that comes across more as being more pompous than anything else.
@Maroxad: There will always be people that dont like others for whatever reason, I'm talking about large scale with insanely expensive smear campaigns and truck loads of salt mixed with disdain. The hate just wasn't there.
Your average person does not know much about rockets or electric cars or transit. But a lot of people are familiar with social media. Being able to see Musk's constant mistakes in real time, really dispelled any illusion of this guy being any kind of genius. The guy rode hype, now... his foolishness is out there for all to see.
But people who work in tech and sciences have known he is full of crap for years now.

First you tried to delegitimize criticisms of billionaires by comparing it to yelling at the TV during sports games, and now you're trying to say you never said anything about them being beyond criticisms. Yeah, not buying.
Mate, calling it what it is isn't being jealous or petty. If you say and/or do stupid things, you are, by definition, stupid. Just because he "dance to the sound of his own drum" does not give him a pass. At worst, it just means he's being contrarian for contrarianism's sake; dumb logic justified by dumb logic.
And IQ tests is a very flawed measure of actual intelligence. People with supposedly high IQ say and do stupid things all the time.
