Those were the Dark Ages. Relaspe was the Renaissance and Recovery was the Enlightenment, but they will never be as good as the classical ages(Slim Shady LP, Marshall Mathers LP).It was from his Encore years (mainly), we don't talk about those years...

[QUOTE="sherman-tank1"]What song?Sh%t Hits the Fan. On the album Cheers I believe. Also Ja Rule got smashed by Dr. Dre in one of Obie's songs.

I have faith in his new album though.
[QUOTE="sherman-tank1"]Sh%t Hits the Fan. On the album Cheers I believe. Song was mad mediocre,Ja took a sh*t on all of them I don't know, Dre made him look like an idiot and he didn't even have to make a lot of great punchlines.[QUOTE="Bucked20"] What song?Bucked20
While yall talking about albums Im trying to figure out what the durag was forBucked20Eminem trying too hard to look like a gangster.
I don't even care for Slim Shady much, but he is your average music star now. What happened to songs like Stan or If I Had?I thought the new albums were great. He stopped being a cartoon character unlike in his previous records.

Relapse was on of his worst albums! Recovery and Curtain Call (Yes, I know it was basically a Greatest Hits) were the best.[QUOTE="DarkGamer007"]

I don't know what he was thinking, but I also didn't realize people listened to Ja Rule. All I can think is he was trying to gain some cred by doing it. I'm not really a fan of either, but I liked Em's first 2 major label albums when I was like 15.

Well...that's just, like, your opinion, man.
However, I think it goes without saying that most of them have more talent than Freddie Mercury did.

Because living in 50 million dollar homes and having a butler wipe your ass kills your credibility with rap's demographic. You have to balance that out by trying to look hood rich every time you go on TV.
Glad I could help.
ITT: People who think rap takes talent. No instrument talent, no singing ability. Talking and rhyming, usually to computer beats. fr3ddiemercuryRap takes a massive amount of talent, more than people would think. If it is so easy why don't you upload a rap song? Just one shouldn't be hard right?
Some of you make me laugh, thinking you're too cool for a gernre of music. Take a minute to look at you're life and ask youself, am I as really cool as I think I am? the answer would be.....nope
I would love to hear Em's answer cause Ja embarrassed him with that line Bucked20
Lmao, where's Ja now?

He's right. Rappers do not usually have, nor do they require any vocal ability or instrumental ability. They rhyme, while making themselves sound gruff and suddenly they're "talented". Very few of them actually write their raps anyways.Well, it was around the time Eminem released songs like this:

sure anyone can rhyme, but when you actually put a story there and find ways to rhyme it and such, and do that more than just once, id say there is some form of talent there.
then when you mix in the beats, for the ones who make their own beats, has some form of talent also.
not saying that they have amazing talent. but to say they have no talent at all, is kinda wrong imo.

Recovery was terrible. It was full of stale imitations of himself and mushy pop tracks with weak production. I couldn't believe my ears when I realized that he had sampled Haddaway's "What Is Love?"
I mean, this is the kind of lyricism that was on that album:
You couldnt make a belemic puke on a piece of fvckin corn and peanut poopEminem
Hit a blind man with a coloring book and told him color inside the lines or get hit with a flying crayonEminem
Atrocious.

Oh look, a classic rock douche. I've never seen that before. /sarcasm.
Plus, we all know how talented bands like Nickelback are because they actually play instruments...
