God damn.. the king is back

Tonight, I want you to step outside. Close your eyes for a moment and take a nice, deep breath of that fresh, crisp night air. Enjoy that? Good. I'm glad you did. Not finished? No problem. Take your time. You have all night.
Done? Good. Slowly open your eyes. Take in the landscape all around you, whether it be a bustling urban neighborhood or a silent rural countryside. Look up at the night sky. Is it a clear night? Excellent. No clouds in the sky. Look up, up, deep into the blackness. There, you will see small, twinkling specks of light. Don't try to count them; they're limitless in their number. Do you know what they are?
They're all the fucks I don't give.

at least one given to take the effort to post this.

You apparently give a lot to type 3 fucking paragraphs.
On topic: This is best thing from Em in ages. I hope he keeps it up.
I used to be a huge Eminem fan but his music dropped in quality after The Eminem Show so I haven't been listening to him much. But this song is very good, if not for the fact he didn't set the bar too high.
Lyrically, this song is one of his best, but it also feels confused. Like he's trying to mix old school hiphop, modern rap music and nostalgic homages to his old material in one song. It's impressive yes, but I'm not sure if it will be enduring.
"you're watching a massacre take place like a church gathering"
Love the word play in this song. I enjoyed Relapse and Recovery so I'm sure this new album will not disappoint.
Lyrically, it is damn good. That beat though... *thumbs down*
Well what do you expect of him? It's not like he's able to write and compose actual music. He'd actually have to know how to play an instrument and have musical talent to do that. He probably paid someone to slap that noise together in a computer program. Better than the usual thing rappers do like ripping off ''samples'' from older rock songs. All Eminem knows how to do is use a rhyming dictionary.

Did not see tech N9ne listed anywhere
Left thread.
I'm pretty upset em and tech haven't done a song together yet.

Everyone who knows the two really wants this to happen. Tech has been trying to do it for quite some time but looks like Em hasn't had the time to do it. The closest we'll probably come to the two doing a song is the Anthem:
Not Impressed. Not better than the latest tracks from Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
i agree kendrick has surpassed eminem in consistency. em varies between golden and mediocre, whereas kendrick is consistently great. drake, while hes a respectable rapper, isn't quite up to their level.
Hah just heard this song when I got home from work and came here to see if there was a topic yet.
Wasn't sure how I felt at first when listening to the song as the beat is far from Em's best, but damn his flow in the song is wayyyy too sick! I am totally hooked to the song right now!
Really looking forward to the new album. Have enjoyed all the singles released so far and I absolutely LOVED Recovery even if it had some songs that weren't so great.

Kendrick hasn't been around for almost 20 years though.
The beat is iffy, but the lyrics and vocals in general were fucking awesome. I especially loved the quick as hell rapping in the third verse.
@Diablo-B:
You're talking about consistency though. I love Kendrick but he'd be lucky to be a fraction as relevant as Em is now in almost 20 years.
Never cared for him past the slim shady lp and calling him a god or king is just laughable. Most visible for selling scary urban music to white folk maybe, but tgats about it.
I tend to agree with the old if he was black he would be canibus statement.
Wow, that sounds better than just about anything on Relapse or Recovery. His new album might be good after all...
Em straight murdered this track, I believe that the beat was meant to sound the way it is to show how most beats sound like today, which in return made you pay more attention to his lyrics that went in. Def the better single out of the 3 on this album.
I hate the beat, it sounds horrible. I also hate the hook, it sounds weak. But the verses, purely amazing.
I admit, I wasnt expecting much I hated Berzerk and I agree with most here, that EM fell off after the Eminem show, but I liked that song he kills it. Thanks for the link, I just added it to my workout playlist. Nice to see he got some of his flow back.
He is a Rap God
G.O.A.T
He killed it on this track, the hook is wack but the verses are insane. MMLP2 is gonna be sick.
I predict platinum in 1 week. Diamond in 2 years

The beat and hook are sooooo bad. I've heard beats made on cheap programs like Garageband and Hip Hop Six that destroy this one.
His flow sounds really good (this is the best he has flowed in a very long time), but the lyrics themselves are pretty whack. I read the lyrics as I listened and I don't think there's a single quotable line in that mess of words. It's amazing that someone who used to be a very witty, focused lyricist has become so clumsy and prone to throw everything at the wall in the hope something will stick. But nothing ever does these days.
He raps way too fast these days... it's comes off as absurd to me. He is a great artist though... stands out.
