Although Eminem is regarded as the superior rapper...
Vanilla Ice was actually that good. In his sort of documentary he claims that he sold out because the money offer was just that big and he resorted to pop rap.
Vanilla ice is actually that talented, if you hear his new rap its good. Too bad he has beef with mtv.
[QUOTE="jim_shorts"]Vanilla Ice stole a base line from Queen. I can never vote for him.duxup
Dude knows who to steal from, that's not a bad thing.
The good news is that he stole from a great band. The bad news is that he still stole it.

Everyone steals from everyone, get over it.
Everyone steals from everyone, get over it.ONLYDODNot entirely true. There are many artists with completely original material out there.

For the record, he did pay Queen for the rights to use the Under Pressure bass line
Oh yeah, and Eminem by an unfathomable degree.

I am not sure I believe that. But even if it was true, hip hop is not about stealing melodys and baselines. I think guys like Talib Kweli and Ghostface Killah exemplify what Hip Hop is about and should be the standard for music in the hip hop genre right now.
He paid only because he was threatened with legal action....For the record, he did pay Queen for the rights to use the Under Pressure bass line

And he initially claimed that he didn't owe royalties at first, because he added one note at the end of the bassline.
Vanilla Ice all the way....ice ice baby....
Just noticed this thread was necro'd...but the mods don't care anymore so....meh.
Is this a joke? Eminem at his worst is ****ing Beethoven compared to Vanilla Ice at his best. Eminem has far more powerful, meaningful, and quality songs than Vanilla Ice, and has far better flow, rhymes, and word-play.
