I say Eminem. Hes's a better musician. But grammys don't mean squat. They are only what a few select people consider good music. Sometimes their opinions are warrented, sometimes not.

Vanilla Ice was actually that good. In his sort of documentary he claims that he sold out because the money offer was just that big and he resorted to pop rap.

I've liked Eminem's music for a long time, even some of Encore and the new songs on Curtain Call. Vanilla Ice had one major pop song with a stolen bassline.

I am not sure I believe that. But even if it was true, hip hop is not about stealing melodys and baselines. I think guys like Talib Kweli and Ghostface Killah exemplify what Hip Hop is about and should be the standard for music in the hip hop genre right now.
What the heck man. You guys are straight out of your heads. As a musician (that means that they write, produce, play music) not as as a straight up rapper. Vanilla Ice all the way, simple because eminem is not a musician but a rapper. Vanilla Ice plays his own music, writes his own music. (Ice plays drums, bass, guitar, does scratches off the turn table) That makes him a musician and thus a better one (MUSICIAN) then eminem. Gesh get your facts straight people before giving an un-informed opinion. Is this a joke? Eminem at his worst is ****ing Beethoven compared to Vanilla Ice at his best. Eminem has far more powerful, meaningful, and quality songs than Vanilla Ice, and has far better flow, rhymes, and word-play.
