EMO RELATED...I need to clear some stuff up.

Hey I need to clear some stuff up... I'm not EMO but i get accused of listening to "EMO". I don't care what people say I just need to know what is , or is not considered "EMO" music... just out of curiosity

These bands along with many others that I listen to...

My Chemical Romance - I think these guys are pretty original, I really like the black parade album, I always thought they were like a hybrid rock/****c rock/pop band... the beginning song on the album sounds alot liek the first song on pink floyds the wall.

Comeback Kid - Aren't these guys straight up hardcore?

Motion City Soundtrack - Ummmm indie pop?

Thurseday - well these guys are just great musically, awesome band, again I would consider them melodic hardcore

Alexisonfire - I would think melodic hardcore again?

Anberlin - Pop/Punk/Indie , great band BTW

the list goes on....

maybe I don't know what EMO is because I was born earlier, and all this emo stuff is not my generation, but hey I dig the music Emo or not...

I think the term itself is flawed, all music is based on or is there to evoke emotion, so in that sense all music is emo.

You fail even worse. Emo and screamo are the same genre,just in different era's. And alexisonfire isn't screamo. Well it is,but not real screamo.

Just like Hardcore came from punk and also borrows the same element but are different elements to both screamo and emo which makes them different.
