Emos and goth wanna know why they do what they do

This is what I think is the case with some people who pose as homosexuals, like I once did.

Just because someone has money doesn't mean they can't be depressed and not goth or emo. I do find how emo's show off their scars like it's something to be proud of to be quite annoying. But anyone can be depressed.ElectronicMagic

However I don't think all "emos" do it for attention. We give the name to a a group of scene kids. I'm sure real depressed people have some sort of chemical imbalance where cutting helps them in some way. I'm sure they don't do it for fun

I realize that, I just know a lot of people who call themselves "emo" or "scene" people and everytime I'm around them it seems that they show of their scars like it's a rite of passage. I just find that to be quite annoying. I don't think cutting should be glorified. I know a lot of people cut, not just emos. It's just that emos are the only people I know that show it off like I said above.

Gay people are not gay only to get attention. The people you are referring to are not gay I am referring to any poser that can be metrosexual although the two technically aren't the same. There are people who are genuinely gay and, well, just fake it for the attention.

I am oddly depressed but i don't cut my self and dress like "emos" or "goths", i just keep to myself and put on a happy face. What i'm trying to say is that:

1. You don't have to emo or goth to cut or be depressed and

2. Yes some "emos" or "goths" are posers, but some of them might not be, maybe it's just a way to express themselves and help them feel better about themselves if they really are emo or gothic.

this is why a lot of my friends are goth (notice i didnt say emo)

goths are like me.....im a.....uh....well not goth, but more on the metal side.....i myself dont give a crap about the latest fashions, who got an iphone or gossip......just whatever, i do what i want

Metrosexuals are not gay They don't even act gay and they don't even pretend to be gay The only thing that gives them that label is the care about their appearance.. they might like to shop for clothes, be very well groomed and clean, etc. They are 100% straight.

Libery spikes and a torn up T-shirt? Obviously, that girl would've gotten a lot of attention. Honestly, I couldn't care less how people look, what they wear, whatever. But really, if someone is supposed to be upset, I don't understand why they purposefully draw attention to themselves. If they want to be themselves, that's cool, but who wears liberty spikes and a torn up T-shirt without expecting everyone's attention?

I think it's safe to say that kids have always been like that. They're kids, of course they want attention. They're immature, and don't realize how silly they act sometimes.
