My friend is trying to tell me that if you jump off of the empire state building you will be sucked back towards the building due to the way it was built. Is this true, if so what would cause this. I know a couple suicide jumpers were pushed back towards the building but i think it was due to wind.

The building creates an internal vortex which does not suck, but effectively pulls the navigational trajectory of said object inwards causing a rift in the wind speed, of which that is hurled off the top of the building.

If he doesn't want that he could cut off and arm and drop it over the side.

Im not sure what this means but he says you would hit the floor under it we bet 20 dollars on it. So unless this would automaticly make you hit the floor under it then i win 20 bucks

Dunno , but it seems to me that there are more practical ways to commit suicide
