WOW. I've heard the theories, seen some of the evidence, but never been 100% convinced. This could change that, depending on how it is presented. What does this say about America, and the world that we live in? If 9/11 could be a conspiracy, almost anything could be.
1,270 architects and engineers is a pretty large number. This is definitely going to be interesting.
EDIT: Wait, this article is 2 days old, and this press conference was held today. The fact that its not all over the news seems to indicate nothing big will come out of it.
BTW, this is the website where the "evidence" is found:
http://ae911truth.org/
the question is, how many architects and engineers support the government's findings?1,270 architects and engineers is a pretty large number. This is definitely going to be interesting.

Not really. If you take a look at a number of the comments on their little petition, you'll find questions like "I'd like to know how all these explosives got planted?" or things like "if they really did fall at free-fall speed, that'd warrant more investigation." The former is hardly what I'd call a supporting comment, and the latter is based entirely on misinformation.1,270 architects and engineers is a pretty large number. This is definitely going to be interesting.

Exactly. I find that using big numbers of engineers like that is less informative than using a percentage figure. There's bound to be a thousand loonies out there with degrees.
[QUOTE="Samurai_Xavier"]the question is, how many architects and engineers support the government's findings? Compare the number that AE911Truth boasts with the number of people employed by NIST. Also bear in mind that AE911Truth ended one debate (which he was losing) by dropping a cardboard box onto another cardboard box. Hardly what I'd call a credible person.1,270 architects and engineers is a pretty large number. This is definitely going to be interesting.

You really think that something like this would be on the national news? It doesn't benefit the national media to try to undermine the public's faith in the US government in such a sudden, dramatic way. This is too big a bombshell to drop on the public as fact, especially without full government backing. I'm not saying that it's true.. I'm just saying that I don't think it rational to expect that it would show up on the evening news if it were.
I wonder where the CIA will find 2540 women willing to bring false claims of rape and molestation against the 1270 architects and engineers.

I wonder when you'll start backing up your claims with actual evidence. Most of these conspiracies come about because people use reverse scientific method and simply look for evidence they think matches a conclusion they have already come up with.

Right, its not as if it wouldn't make a reporter's career or anything. :|

You won't have much of a career in this country after you've just reported that the nation's leadership was part of a conspiracy of this magnitude. Do you know what would happen to this country's economy if this came out in the national media and became accepted as fact by most Americans? It would be catastrophic.

The media is the fourth branch of government, and it is the media's job to regulate and expose wrongdoings in the government. So, yes, of course the media would report on it. Not to mention news channels like Fox and MSNBC which would immediately take political sides. You won't have much of a career in this country after you've just reported that the nation's leadership was part of a conspiracy of this magnitude.Worked for Bernstein and Woodward.hartsickdiscipl
Funnily, I'm reminded both of Maddox's take on the 9/11 conspiracy theories, and of the fact that if they wanted to, there are a few people who could take AE911Truth to court for libel and slander.I wonder where the CIA will find 2540 women willing to bring false claims of rape and molestation against the 1270 architects and engineers.

Not even remotely close to the same thing. Watergate was not even close to what happened on 9/11. We would be talking about the supreme commander of our armed forces, his aids, and numerous other government agencies participating in the cold-blooded murder of thousand of US citizens in the middle of NYC. Watergate is nothing compared to this.

Leading to the reporting getting his or name forever ingrained in history as the person who discovered it. The fame that would come along with such a huge discovery is too much to believe at least one reporter wouldn't run the story.

That only further strengthens my point in two ways. 1. The government can't even cover up a break-in at a hotel. 2. Think of how famous those two got for exposing Watergate. Someone conclusively exposing 9/11 would make them look like Encyclopedia Brown.[QUOTE="hartsickdiscipl"]

Assuming that said reporter had the interest to view all of the evidence, had the backing of his or her superiors, and wasn't under threat of death, yeah.. I would agree.
I try really hard to be open minded about this kind of stuff, because in the off chance any of it is true, I would like to be one of the ones to know it is true. However, I have a hard time believing new evidence has come out this late in the game.

Someone conclusively exposing 9/11 would make them look like Encyclopedia Brown.People have a very different idea of what "conclusive" means, especially in matters of this magnitude. I still don't think you have any concept of the magnitude of something like this getting out and gaining acceptance from the majority of Americans. When you can prove that even one part of the official story can't be true, you've discredited the entire story. People don't seem to understand this. It's like taking the cornerstone out of a building.
I'm surprised people still go on about this...
But then again, people still think we never went to the moon and JFK wasn't killed by Lee Harvey Oswald.
They actually had a guest that believes both. >_>I'm surprised people still go on about this...

This is an old story, but I haven't seen anything more recent indicating that public opinon has changed drastically on this. It's not just some people that think JFK was killed as part of a conspiracy, it's most people.
A massive plane flies into a building. Building falls down. Why is that so hard for people to follow? It's sad that we have to hear this same garbage every single year on the anniversary of 9/11.limpbizkit818
If you knew a little bit more about the buildings in question, it might be a little bit harder for you to believe. I'm not a 100% believer in the 9/11 inside job theories, but I do know that it should've taken more than a plane flying into the WTC towers to bring them down.

I have read/listened to every single one and they are all garbage. Many people are gullible and want to believe this stuff is true when it's not. it took a plane flying at around 500mph loaded with jet fuel which ignited massive fires to bring them down...My God.....I may actually have to take a conspiracy theory seriously instead of hand waving it away on the basis of being a conspiracy theory.
