Ever dated a person of different race?

Hey all, I've dated a muslim arab girl from yemen before and she wore the whole headdress thing and all that. She kept trying to convert me to islam so I ended up breaking it off after a few months. I'd date any girl really if she was equally as interested in me regardless of race. Any of you have experience dating girls or guys from different races or religions ?

Yes, I have. I've dated a few different races. White, Mexican (my own race) and one girl who was Black.

Yea, though most of my past relationships have been with Caucasian's. Others have been, Native American, Latin, from Argentina, and like 1 or 2 more south american area that I can't think of.

I would typify that as a yes answer if there is a cultural difference between you two.

I know everyone here means "color" when they mean race, but I think the underlying crux of this thread is someone different than you; or different enough, anyhow.

Depending on who you are and where you live you might be stepping out of your cultural bounds by dating someone who is the same COLOR you are, but who is from a different religion, different class or different nationality.

I guess I'm just not that confortable using the term "race". Could an American-German person find it odd to date a German person FROM Germany or an African-American dating an African from Africa? Definitely.

Haven't yet, but I'd wouldn't be opposed to it. There are certain races that I find more appealing than even my own. It just depends on the situation.

Ofcourse I do tend to get to know the girls before I start dating them, since such things as religion, society ideals, and such varry a great deal.

So I usually make sure that we are compatible or atleast tolerant towards each others beliefs and politics.
