[QUOTE="muller39"][QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]Good lord....never knew there were this many anti-social people on OT. KC_HokieNo need for calling people anti social.I didn't mean it in a negative way....just saying some of you people need to get out more. Introverted would probably be a better word.
[QUOTE="Pittfan666"]All the time. Until I discovered my bff Samuel Adams.KC_HokieI have my friend Bud Lite for tonight. Plus some vodka. My best friends are Jim, Jack and Jose.
[QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]Good lord....never knew there were this many anti-social people on OT. muller39No need for calling people anti social. Also, there's a marked difference between antisocial and asocial. Most of the folks here tend to lean toward asocial.

I go out enough but haven't found people I get along with.
[QUOTE="British_Azimio"][QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]I have my friend Bud Lite for tonight. Plus some vodka.muller39My best friends are Jim, Jack and Jose. I'm drinking Steam Whistle right now. Quite enjoyable. I love me a quality brew. Samuel Adams is what first gave me the incentive to steer away from the BMC and related, then I ventured out some more and have had beers I never would've known could be that good. But to be honest, I drink Natural Ice >90% of the time, with a good portion of the remaining 10% being Steel Reserve. It sure as hell isn't for the taste. If I had the cash, craft brews would be all I drink. (I'm an alcoholic...currently on a "leave of absence" - had a few serious wake-up-calls this year due to alcohol-related shenanigans which nearly got me killed.)

We all pretty much do, which is why we unite here together so we don't get together with other people. :P
[QUOTE="Rhazakna"]All the time, but I'm most lonely when I'm with people, actually.SonyNintendoFanHow? if people make you feel as if you don't belong, it'll make you feel lonely in a confirmed way, as opposed to being physically alone but atleast not having the confirmation of not belonging
Nope. I'm a lone wolf by nature. I don't mind being alone. But, that hasn't stopped people from being friends with me. The closest I felt to being lonely was when I was stuck in some hot, humid jungle in the tropics. But, that's just because I hated the place and wished I can be somewhere else.
Yes. I have socal anxiety disorder (which has been getting better) which made it hard, if not impossible, for me to make friends. I was lonely and longed to have friends like the other kids, but the anxiety that talking to others caused me overpowered the loneliness. I remember being bullied because I was so quiet and never talked to anybody.
Eventually, I started to go to therapy and slowly start getting over my fears, including one of my biggest, public speaking. Surviving speech class without having an anxiety attack in front of the class even once is one of my biggest accomplishments. It was very hard for me, but I got through it.
I was basically ignored all through school. Even when I was in marching band I didn't make many friends. I was basically picked on daily, I was lonely, I was always finding myself staring at kids in big groups, wishing I could be that social. Nobody has ever been able to fully understand me, thinking I'm anti-social, I'm not.
