ever find out that your crush was totally different then what you thought?

yeah blah blah its only a crush, but anyway, i like this chinese girl who dresses normally and all.

i found out that she wasn't as smart as i thought (but on the bright side i thought it would make us more equal that way). then a month ago i learned she listened to alternative metal/alternative rock/pop punkand what not (such as korn, breaking benjamin, AFI). i mean, i wouldn't except some normal dressed, timid looking chinese girl whould listen to these bands. i was really surprised

and there is a possibilty that she drinks alcohol too. that hurt me a bit inside considering that i said to myself that i wouldn't get together with a smoker, or drinker. well i may be over-reacting about the alcohol thing, seeing as how she is fine in school, but still....

oh yeah, thing that sucked with me is that i found out about all her crap after we started dating, and then SHE dumped ME

All the things you listed are pretty superficial, try getting to know her and THEN judge her.

I agree with what you said at the top because that really seems true in the situation by the TC. With me I had known the first girl for about 2-3 months and like i said went out with her almost every night. and now the girl i like now i have known for about 4 months i think and we go out quite a bit. You really do need to get to know someone before you judge them, cant just think they look smart or judge who they are by appearances alone. I dress like a prep/jock and most people think jocks are not that intelligent yet i have a 3.7 in college. yet music wise i love classic rock. i have many sides that people would not know just by how i look.

Eh, tell me about it. People are SO sincerely surprised when they find out how good I am at school. Why you ask? Mainly because of my race and how I dress, yet if they held a conversation with me for a minute they would be able to tell otherwise :x

I'm not resentful at them for being racist, since most people my race are, well...underachievers. That's not racism that's statistics, but it would still be nice if people actually talked to me before judging me on superficial things i.e. race
