In grade 5 me and this other guy talked in an Australian accent for a full week straight. Literally. At school when the teacher asked us a question, at home when we were asked to pass the mashed potatoes-- everything.

And then a couple years ago me and these other guys imitated British acents for an entire day. It was jolly good fun :P

So has anyone here ever done that?

I need to affect an accent all the time. Not for fun, but so some people will take me seriously. I'm ten times more intelligent than anyone in my office, but they all treat me like I'm uneducated ghetto trash unless I speak like them.

Way back when I worked in a call center I would use various accents through my entire shifts just to make the time go by.

It's not the act of doing it that's fun, it's the look on some people's face that makes it hilarious. They think we've gone mad

I adopted a Russian accent one day when I was working at McDonalds. My co-manager wasn't able to keep a straight face the other time. I on the other hand was as serious as a Russian. It was hilarious!

For quite some time, I mimicked the speech patterns of HAL-9000. Why? Because he is awesome.

Maybe, but that would've been weird, because I was about 15 at the time

Yes I do many accents, but I can't seem to do an American accent. It always sounds like a overly gay Scottish man.

I don't have an accent, this is just how things sound when they're pronounced correctly.

I don't know about you, but I think it's pretty impossible to intimidate an accent.

Yes. I sometimes act like an alcoholic Russian from when the USSR was around... Going around calling people capitalist pigs and me and my friends will occasionally shout out "We have vodka now!" Good times, good times.
