I remember in high school, me and my friends distracted our teacher, plugged a usb into his laptop and copied the exam into the usb. He actually had the exam as a file on his desktop...big mistake

you have never cheated during an exam?? me and mt friends had a system on multiple choice exams where me or him would hand signal the question and then the person would tap their pencil once for A, twice for B, thrice for C and so on. Granted im smarter than all my boyz, i helped some of my close friends pass their coursesNo that would be cheating!
But people have copied off of my exams before, and I haven't tried all that hard to stop them.

whoever told you that is wrong, i'd cheat on a college exam any day to pass a grade. Im not paying thousands of dollars for a course againNo because cheating is not the right way to go from what I heard.

dont get the wrong impression of me though, I get very good grades and study relativly hard, but the option is always there
Stole an exam? Hah, my goodness, definitely not. I've never cheated on an exam either - it'd be very difficult for any student to cheat here. Every school I've been in has had invigilators watching students like hawks during exams.silentexistenceInvestigators? What school are you going to?
if anyone needs to cheat to do well in high school they should probably give up on lifeStRaItJaCkEt36calm down... ever take gr.12 advanced functions???
Stealing from your teacher's computer isn't an option to most sane people...would you do it if you had a 60 in the course. I had a 92 in the course, but most my friends were in the 60s[QUOTE="BossPerson"]

Personally I got almost all As and Bs in high school but the risk of failing one class is better than the risk of being expelled from school.[QUOTE="Pirate700"]

You also run the risk of getting expelled from college and costing you thousands of dollars
[QUOTE="Pirate700"]Invigilators mate, read carefully. :P And I'm in Singapore. I guess schools here take exams very seriously, from primary to university level.Ah jeez. Well that's crazy that they have people watching you take the test. :PInvestigators? What school are you going to?

well im assuming that the risk is low, say if the prof just dropped it on the floor by accident??? I dont care how much integrity you have, nobody would not use that[QUOTE="DroidPhysX"]

I haven't cheated or stolen anyone's exam. But I had a "friend" take my exam in Grade 12 Biology. He needed a 60 to pass, and knew I was getting a 90 in the course. Teacher was asleep, but before the exam he said put it on the corner of the desk and he'd get it cause he didn't want us making noise getting up and down. So I did just that, and my friend took it. Passed the class by 3%.
He tried the same thing in religion the next semester, but I knew it was coming and I wrote a bunch of wrong answers, then fixed them:P
never stole an exam from a professor.
I have however got access or copy of an OLD exam by the same professor. Reason being 2 things:
Most times they don't just copy and paste their old exams. What i get out of them mostly is how to anticipate the type of questions he will ask.
and what i mean by that exactly, is how difficult the questions do the professor's typically ask.

Assume there were no cameras and nobody else saw you? you wouldnt use it? In that situation, not cheating would be the dumb thing to do, according to Nicollo Machiavelli at least[QUOTE="DroidPhysX"]

Aren't copies of past exams usually made freely available at universities? My university does, and it helps me a great deal for my exam preparations.never stole an exam from a professor.
I have however got access or copy of an OLD exam by the same professor. Reason being 2 things:
- You get a very good idea of what type of questions he will ask.
- Some professors are actually incredibly lazy and will actually ask the SAME question(s) again.
Most times they don't just copy and paste their old exams. What i get out of them mostly is how to anticipate the type of questions he will ask.

[QUOTE="SaudiFury"]Aren't copies of past exams usually made freely available at universities? My university does, and it helps me a great deal for my exam preparations. At my college, no. so i networked. and we often helped each other out. Regardless of if the person got a 100% on the exam or completely bombed it. It was good extra study material. and proved invaluable in preparing for exams. There's nothing like taking a class with a seemingly easy Physics teacher, easy assignments, easy labs, easy-enough quiz's. Only to get jack-knifed exam time.never stole an exam from a professor.

I don't think TC understands how the school-system works.
If you cheat on a test, it doesn't mean that everyone wins.
Oh man... I remember back in high school, some of us got a hold of the answer key for the chapter tests. My friend used the key, but used an answer twice so he ended up marking most of his scantron wrong.
