Ever watch movies / video clips completely in languages you can't understand?

That is to say in languages you are unable to speak or otherwise understand, and without any subtitles. I am interested in occasionally watching current event clips in Arabic, whether it be related to the ongoing conflicts / protests or what not else. Even though I don't speak Arabic at all, I still find them informative and eye opening in the sene that I see how that part of the world lives and gets things done in a visual sense.

Like I said, sometimes I don't feel that's the point. Seeing is still much of the story. I suppose it depends on what you are looking for.

Why not? If you don't speak the language, then you wouldn't be able to know what the subject matter of the song is or have a remote clue as to what any of the lyrics mean. It's all through emphasis, melody, and the visualisations in the music video.

I've watched Japanese and Polish music videos if we're counting those, and sometimes I watch french tv/movies to see how much I retained from school :P

Yeah I've sometimes watched entire movies in languages I don't understand without subtitles. I think the last one was a Japanese film called Aiki (2002) which involved a wheelchair bound kid who wanted to learn a martial art to protect himself but nobody wanted him until an Aikido master saw in him possibilities. Unless it's a very dense dialogue driven piece I usually find them fairly easy to follow as the many struggles portrayed are universal and it sort of frees the viewer from the pointless minutia of their chatter.
