**Death Note Spoilers Ahead!!--sort of maybe...**
It's interesting: listening to dialogue in different languages, noticing the difference in syntax, emphasis, the different sounds native in each language.
But it becomes very entertaining when you compare the ways actors in different languages/cultures try to convey different emotions.
This is an excerpt from Death Note (in case you haven't seen the whole anime, this Kira guy has been playing the other guys all along and, now cornered, laughs his head off in revelation of his true identity). Which voice actor do you think has the most convincing evil laugh? Or maybe it's not the chill through your bones you find most effective; maybe it's the general sense of madness?
Some people may like to think the original is where it's all at, but i think Spanish and Italian provide some pretty good competition. (Russian, on the other hand, seems sort of...half-hearted. maybe it's just the microphone?)
P.S.--Even if you don't care for the anime, or learning different languages, laughing along with these guys is still pretty fun...
