Evolution is amazing. For example. All dogs come from wolves. People would tame wolves back in the day and use them for various purposes. Eventually earning the name as mans best friend. Dogs have helped humanity greatly. Whether it be catching food, herding cattle, keeping you warm in the old days when houses didnt really exist, or just being a great companion. Isnt it amazing that they can go from this \/

To this /

I myself dont like little dogs like that. My mom has a yorkie and a Cairn Terrier. They drive me insane with all the yapping. But isnt evolution amazing. That dog formed its structure because of people using selective breeding for dogs to fullfill tasks we couldnt accomplish easily. Like chasing and killing unwanted rodents in small spaces. Other dogs like rotweilers(spelling?) were most likely bred as fighting dogs; therefore having a much wider and stronger stance. Then hearding dogs pretty much stayed similar to a wolf because of the endurance and agility needed to heard. Evolution is amazing.

People took wolves from their environment and domesticated them. There are still wolves because you cant capture every single wolf and domesticate every single one of them. They took some wolves and breed them over and over. It is called selective breeding.

Wolves were domesticated into several original dog breeds. These breeds then were cross-bred to all the various species that exist today, and most of these non-ancient breeds suffer from a genetic hip abnormality when they get older.

I know this because I was looking for a dog to get and did a little background check on the different breeds. Personally I like the ancient breeds, especially the Shiba Inu but they're not exactly easy to get a hold of:

I dont think you understand what I was saying. Back hundreds and thousands of years ago, people took wolves and wolf puppies from their pack. People saw how efficient they are and how sociable they are. Therefore domesticated the wolves they captured. Of course the first wolves were most likely very hostile. But as they kept them in captivity and bred them. Each generation became more and more domesticated. Often breeding the most tame ones. Creating more and more tame wolves after every generation. Creating a domesticated wolf similar to the modern dog personality. Over time, they would branch off and breed wolves for different jobs. Eventually changing the animals attributes. This is called selective breeding. It uses evolution to breed the perfect animal. They are no longer wolves after being domesticated. But all I was implying is that dogs started out as wolves.

WHAT IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND THAT WOLVES WERE DOMESTICATED?! they are NO LONGER domesticated(well some are) but the ones that were became dogs. THIS ISNT HARD TO UNDERSTAND.

Wolves weren't domesticated. Wolves are the desendents of the canines that were not domesticated. We have no idea what the canines that existed back then were like, they could have been similar to wolves, or been completely different.

Since humans have been breeding canines, there hasnt been any huge climate change. Therefore, the wolf is still the generally same back when selective breeding started. Maybe some minor features have changed, but still pretty unchanged. So I highly doubt your statement is true.
